As if he wouldn't release it anyway. For real. What's he going to do if he doesn't reach 20 million? Say "you guys failed, guess I'm waiting until 2020"? No. These "like this to get new content" posts musicians do are for fan engagement carefully selected to guarantee those numbers are met. (Though I think Rita Ora or someone similar did fail one and tried to pretend like it wasn't real lol.)

Sunflower will, unfortunately, be gone this week. RIP. Such a great run to watch. I wonder when the next song to surpass 52 weeks will be. I’d imagine it’d be TH or SYL if it’s one of our current ones, but obviously they’re unlikely.

Sunflower will, unfortunately, be gone this week. RIP to such an amazing song with an amazing chart run :( I can remember first hearing "Sunflower" a little meh, given at the time I'm not into that type of sound from Post, but for Swae Lee, it's kinda his thing, so I understand. But, the song grew on me and became so catchy and honestly deserved to become both Swae Led and Post's most successful hit in terms of chart performance, even having a week at #1 is enough for me to add on my great interest on "Sunflower".

If Sunflower leaves this week, but has enough points to be top 25 next week (probably unlikely, but still), would it return to the Hot 100?

So very happy for "Someone You Loved"! Less than two months ago I was merely rooting for it to make top 10 and now this. One of the biggest hits of the year, I love a transatlantic #1! This year alone we've had "7 Rings", "Shallow", "Old Town Road", "Señorita" and "Someone You Loved" hitting #1 in both the US and the UK, with "Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored", "I Don't Care" and "Bad Guy" being #1 in one and #2 in the other. I like this a lot.
As for Bieber, he can suck it. Wait till January, nothing is stealing that #1 from my Mariah.

Can an older, more seasoned, chart watcher explain the following:
How on earth did Toni Braxton’s “He Wasn’t Man Enough” peak at #10 on the Hot 100 Y/E charts (2000) when it only spent 7 weeks in the top ten and peaked at #2 for a single week?
There were a multitude of songs of which spent double digit weeks in the top ten that year and yet some ranked much lower on the Y/E charts, including several songs of which hit number one also.
I’m stunned!!!
😳

If Sunflower leaves this week, but has enough points to be top 25 next week (probably unlikely, but still), would it return to the Hot 100? I believe the top 25 has no recurrency rules so yes... Uptown Funk might have returned for a single week after the Super Bowl if I recall correctly.

Yeah can I actively dislike a post so it doesn't reach 20m likes?
I loved the Purpose singles and the like but I still dislike him a lot as a person.

Kryptonite is another example, but it spent less time than it - its run was cut into the next year - and it was just a few spots below it on the year end. Hope this helps.

Uptown funk returned cuz it was gaining rapidly in 2 metics and was after a significant cultural event , Sunflower would not be allowed to return

The fact it lasted 37 weeks on the chart is amazing for a song that only spent 7 weeks in the top ten. Seeing as longevity outside the top ten is important for high ranks, I presume that’s how Paula Cole’s “I Don’t Wanna Wait” hit #10 on the Y/E charts despite not reaching the top ten at all, right? Thank you!

Someone You Loved is no longer discounted and is decreasing on radio, so it should be below 300 points. Lose You To Love Me will be an easy #1.

Next week is going to be could be majorly disruptive for the Top 10: besides Lose You to Love Me, Memories, Good as Hell and 1-2 Kanye Songs could also enter.
R.I.P. bad guy and Ransom's Top 10 runs

Also if Lose You to Love Me does hit number one next week, it'll be the first time since 2012 we've had more than 12 number one singles in a year.

If not for OTR we might've beaten that at this rate Even if OTR didn't exist this year def wouldn't have beaten 1988 & 1989 having 32 #1's each.
