YAY Doja! I still hate that Dr. Luke is profiting off her success, but I love her humility! Also, she did it with her first official big single. Reminds me of how Cardi did it. This song was always destined for great things! Also, congrats to Nicki too for getting her first #1 as a guest star!

??? What is so "exposed" about this clothing? It's literally a classic 80s disco look and it matches the vibe of the song. I honestly think those people are mostly fakes. You get a lot of this on Twitter where people pretend to be their "opponents" and then act like a caricature of them so that they (and their "allies") can make fun of them and get viral tweets from it on their real accounts. There is absolutely no way any normal person would care so much about that costume. And I say this as a guy who normally is one who complains when the TV forces sexual content onto children. |

Even if true, I don't see BB backtracking. There have been other instances that have been way more shady (like any BTS song that debuts big, a la "ON"), and they have never backtracked from the final chart.
Also, the #1 placement owes a lot more to the high sales, which is a metric much harder to manipulate than streams (i.e. money needs to be exchanged for units to count).
Hopefully Nicki gets another #1 someday. I understand that a #1 is a #1 but it feels kind of cheap for her only one to be a rent-a-rapper remix. It's also partially on me, because if it was the main version pushed from day one (think the "E.T." remix with Kanye) I'd be completely fine with it.
