lmao y'all really tried with Ed. Not surprised, Pulse is full of love for the divas and full of hate for multitalented man. So we do have part of the popheads subreddit crossover here? Interesting. Well, at least sensible people didn't let any of his songs make the bottom 10 - that would have been a sin.

Wow. I should of had my top 10 cleared by now. How two Maroon 5 songs from this decade escaped the bottom 30 is beyond me.

I think I see the appeal of this song but I just can’t really enjoy it unless it’s in an earrape meme or something stupid like that

{WORD WALL...for the people}#80: Boring Ed Sheeran song, part one. #79: Boring Ed Sheeran song, part two. #78: The way Post Malone has evolved has been fascinating to watch in real time, but "Psycho" still isn't one of his best. #77: Yeah, "Ordinary People" is way better, but I still can't bring myself to dislike "All of Me", either...even if it has gone down in my estimation over the years. #76: I'll have more to say about this song come the 2019 Hot 100, but, for now...let's just say Ariana really disappointed me here. #75: This song sure exists. #74: I'm shocked this song is so low. Not that I was expecting it to be high, but I thought it would be higher than this. #73: This has grown off of me in record time. By this time next year, I'll probably hate this. #72: Boring Ed Sheeran song, part three...and the most boring one of all. #71: Not that I really like this song, but geez, a #100. This rankdown is going to be wild.

Ed Sheeran - Perfect: 3/10, ranked #71
Another inoffensive but mind-numbingly boring song where the sincerity does little for me.
Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You: 0/10, ranked #95
Not only one of the most overplayed songs of the decade, but one of the least overplay-resistant songs as well. It's probably not really worth a 0/10, but if I never hear this song again in my life I will be a happy girl.
Post Malone ft. Ty Dolla $ign - Psycho: 5/10, ranked #62
Another example of a perfect 5/10 song.
John Legend - All Of Me: 1/10, ranked #90
A coupling of incredibly simple and boring piano playing from the man who made Ordinary fucking People and an extremely muddled lyrical sentiment, awful song.
Ariana Grande - 7 rings: 0/10, ranked #100
If Ariana Grande intended this song to be ironic, she didn't pull it off. This is quite possible the biggest embarrassment of a pop princess I've ever seen (with the possible exception of Swish Swish). I never want to hear her rapping again, the beat is trash, and the lyrics are easily the worst in this list ("Whoever said money can't solve your problems, must not have had enough money to solve 'em" is among the worst lines of the entire decade). The fact that just last year she made a 10/10 epic in no tears left to cry only amplifies my feelings. I despise this song.
Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop The Feeling!: 6/10, ranked #48
It's fun, but pretty oddly structured and annoying at times. I can stomach it better than most though.
Cardi B - Bodak Yellow: 6/10, ranked #52
Cardi is a bit much at times but this song is pretty fun. She's proven she can do both better and way worse since though.
Marshmello ft. Bastille - Happier: 7/10, ranked #38
Seriously? I get hating the drop but the buildup actually works quite well and Bastille are on form as always, easily Marshmello's best song (though that's not a hard bar to cross).
Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud: 5/10, ranked #53
Unlike Perfect, I get the sincerity here, but it's still too simplistic and Ed Sheeran is too nondescript for this to be worthy of a higher ranking. When I Was Your Man should be the big male-fronted ballad in the decade-end.
Juice WRLD - Lucid Dreams: 2/10, ranked #83
There are some hilarious lines here (the way he delivers "You were made out of plastic, FAKE" makes me burst out laughing every time) but it's still an overall creepy and poorly-written song despite the decent sample.

I only lost one top half this round I think which is nice. Lyrics aside, lucid dreams is fine.

Upvoting for these three opinions, especially the first and last ones. And yeah, that's definitely the worst line coming from a hit song this decade, because we can expect gross stuff to come out from the likes of 6ix9ine, Chris Brown, or even Rick Ross (just remember the whole 'molly on her drink' controversy), but to have someone like Ariana saying something so insensitive, especially given the constant class struggle everywhere in the world, is just despicable. I have nothing against flexing (just see my opinions on "Bodak Yellow", which is pretty strong), but the way Ariana does it doesn't come across as someone who earned their fortune after years living under hard conditions (which is why rappers flex about money and possessions in the first place). Instead, she comes across as an entitled and spoiled rich brat who's shoving her fortune down our throats ('Black card is my business card; the way it be settin' the tone for me') and using the traumatic events in her life as an excuse, which is downright manipulative (and even worse on her follow-up single, "break up with your girlfriend, I'm bored"). And this song indeed has no shred of irony, as you can see by the music video. Madonna made sure to stress the satire of "Material Girl" through its music video, but Ariana's message is direct and clear. The song doesn't make sense within the album and much less as a stand-alone single, and it worries me to see how popular it became, to the point it's become Ariana Grande biggest Billboard hit. She could have done an anthem for shopping or retail therapy or how your friends will always be there for you over failed relationships, but "7 rings" is a pure, unapologetic materialistic anthem, which is so disappointing coming from a former fan's perspective.

Anyways, not to upset over these losses...but can we kill off Roar?
