I feel like I under ranked both Chainsmokers. I thought I would have them around this spot

Oh hell no. This is my nightmare, this going out before the top 50 when Moves like Jagger is still in. Again I thought I would be the highest ranker on this.

Oh, yay my top 5 is top 50 unscathed
I’d love it if Sorry, Blank Space, and Moves Like Jagger missed over Bodak tho 🙃

Glad to see "Don't Let Me Down" out. It's a nice song, but hasn't held up well. "Shake It Off" is still a bop and a half, despite it only barely being in my top 50.

Don't Let Me Down i feel has aged pretty poorly compared to Closer and Something Just Like Thus (The Chainsmokers' other big hits). If this was 2016 or 2017 it would probably be in my top 15, but its just aged pretty poorly compared to many other hits. I think #52 is fair tbh
Shake It Off! i also agree with. Although i personally would have put it between 45-50. its definitely nothing specail, but its a nice, fun song that never feels tiring to hear

Thought DLMD would make top half cuz everyone seemed to love it, as it somehow won 2016 RD lol.
I like it burned on me hard, i like Cardis verse and chorus but that’s about it.
Well at least blank space made top 50. Gotta look on the brightside now from this mess of a round

#52: Don't Let Me Down (#26): Over the past year this has grown on me a lot. I elicits more nostalgia than I thought it would.
#51: Shake It Off (#61): This is alright but I don't particularly search this up.

60. Sucker: This song is cute but that's kind of it. It was pretty easy to get sick and the Jonas Brothers have better. It's still ok though.
59. Just The Way You Are: I feel the same way about this as I do with Grenade. I still love it to this day.
58. Hotline Bling: I can't say I understand the love for this one but I get that it's just simply not my thing.
57. Trap Queen: I don't really get this song honestly. I kind of see the appeal but it's just not my cup of tea and I find it pretty annoying. That's just me though.
56. What Do You Mean?: I dig this like I enjoy the majority of Purpose. It's probably my least favorite of the singles, but it has nice production to it.
55. Closer: This is generic as shit. The drop does not sound good at all. Both singers sound pretty mediocre and the production is just lackluster.
54. Dynamite: NOSTALGIA :'(
53. I Like It: Certainly better than Bodak Yellow and a ton of other songs from Cardi B. But this just got annoying pretty quickly and Bad Bunny sounds awful.
52. Don't Let Me Down: Somehow this is better than Closer but it has a very obnoxious drop. The rest isn't that bad but it's far from interesting.
51. Shake It Off: Definitely my least favorite 1989 single. It was fun at first but didn't hold up well and now I just find it mediocre. Not bad, but it overstayed.

This is wishful thinking but I hope that Lady Gaga song don’t make the top 10. That and Moves Like Jagger both have not aged well for me.

My fondness for DLMD is entirely based on the infectious and ominous opening chords of that song.

SIO really just holds up as my #1 from nostalgia. It's fun. And it went further than I expected. It just would have been better if it had lasted one more spot.

Just knocked out the best Cardi song (ILI) and the best Chainsmokers song (DLMD). Smh
Shake It Off is an ok song but it’s my least favorite of the 1989 singles.

Yeah this is a decent top 50. But Dynamite is trash and shouldn't have lasted as long as it did, and Trap Queen and I Like It are out too early.
