Another great ballad from "Glitter" also produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. This was the second single from the album. The ballad is about Mariah's character Billie Frank from the film Glitter, reflecting on how her mother did not "care enough" for her. The song is also featured on her 2009 compilation album, The Ballads.

I like it, but it's not one of my favorites on the album. I think part of my issue has always been that it's such a personal topic but it's sung from Billie Frank's point of view.. so it's like one of my Mariah's very personal introspective ballads.. but not about her. I just don't connect with it the way I can with songs like "Close My Eyes," "Outside," etc.

One of the songs that made me a full fledged Mariah fan.

I love it and I realize now I haven't listened to it in a while. I've always loved singing out to this song, it's so straightforward with a great bridge. It was done by Mariah and Philippe Pierre, a guy Mariah never worked with since. She once said this is one of her favorite songs she has ever written.
