Exactly, it's not that any song can hit top ten, it's all fair and square. Just look at HITR: great debut by one of the biggest acts around but not enough support to be top ten at the moment.
Also, the longevity of big hits has increased remarkably, they might not peak super high in points but do well for months. Sunflower is of course the ultimate example as it wasn't particularly huge in weekly points.

Apparently Coldplay just released an album...has this been on anyone's radar? I just found out about this and for a band as big as Coldplay, that's kind of surprising I haven't heard much build-up for a new record.

Dua Lipa did the same thing before releasing “Don’t Start Now”. No matter what, I’m excited for new music from The Weeknd. With how weak the charts are right now, a top 10 or top 5 debut is very likely. |

And AIWFC seems to get a lot of UGC views and that seems like it shoots up every week |
