LeAnn Rimes dropped a new album today called CHANT: The Human & the Holy. Tracklist: 1. "My Heart" 2. "Be Still to Know" 3. "In the Stillness" 4. "Treasured" 5. "Human/Holy" 6. "The Truth of Love" 7. "What I Cannot Change (Chant)" 8. "With My Hands" 9. "Set Me Free" 10. "Let the Light In" 11. "Christed" 12. "Sing Love Into the World" The album genre is listed as New Age so it is a different sound than her other albums. I've listened to a few of the songs, and it's really not for me. I wish her all the best with it though. I really wish we would get another country/pop album like Spitfire.

Not my type of music but Reading what she has to say about the album I appreciate where it was coming from. I’d probably buy the CD if it ever comes out just to have her complete collection but otherwise it’s not something I’ll come back to.

Artist: Dean BrodyAlbum: Boys Label: Scurvy Dog Music Release date: November 18, 2020 Canada’s most celebrated country artist Dean Brody continued his improbable and historic run with the release of his 8th album Boys, his first full release on his own Scurvy Dog Music record label. The album dropped last week with the debut of Brody’s new single by the same name, a duet with country upstart Mickey Guyton. You can listen to and hear the new single below. “My fans and I have created so many happy memories together with music as the soundtrack and I wanted to be able to keep that going, particularly during these unprecedented times,” said Brody of today’s release. “I love sharing my experiences through song and am so appreciative of everyone who has joined my musical journey this year, which is why I’m excited to share the next step with you today – especially as this single features the incredible vocals of Mickey Guyton.” Staying true to Brody’s deep storytelling roots, the new album brings to life the passage of a boy growing into a man through life’s most notable moments. The title track and new single “Boys,” brings this theme to the forefront, comparing the mindset of being a boy vs. a man and what Brody himself has learned so far through this journey. Though created during the pandemic, Brody was still able to collaborate and work with fellow Canadians such as Donovan Woods (“Stay Up”) and Travis Wood/Emily Reid (“Boys”). Produced by Todd Clark (Phillip Phillips, James Barker Band, the Reklaws) and Matt Rovey (Alan Jackson, Billy Currington) the album keeps one foot planted in Brody’s traditional country music sound, all while pressing forward into new territory, a further nod to the album’s growth narrative. Earlier this fall, Brody hit one of his biggest career milestones when “Canadian Summer” was crowned Canada’s most played track ever at Canadian country radio in a one-week period, landing the #1 position on the Nielsen BDS Country Airplay chart and the Mediabase chart. The single pulled in a record 1,817 spins, setting the record for the highest one-week spin total on the BDS Country airplay chart and surpassed the record he previously held on his duet with The Reklaws on the GOLD-certified “Can’t Help Myself.” Both tracks can be found on Boys. Boys Tracklist: Boys Lightning Bug Can’t Help Myself I’d Go To Jail Stay Up Canadian Summer Bucket List Always You

Artist: Swon Brothers Album: Nashlahoma Label: TSB Records Release date: November 20, 2020 The Swon Brothers gained national notoriety as finalists on NBC’s “The Voice,” and released their major-label debut The Swon Brothers, the following year, putting their stamp on the 11-song collection by co-producing with award-winning producer Mark Bright. Now six years later, the brothers will release their self-produced full-length album, Nashlahoma on their own TSB Records The new music is a labor of love for the brothers who started the bulk of the recording just a couple of weeks before the pandemic hit. “We just got in there and let our hearts take the reins and our country roots showed on this record,” The Swon Brothers comment. The album is packed with 11 songs (and a reprise) written by and co-written with an impressive array of some of Nashville’s most notable, including Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, Little Big Town's Jimi Westbrook and Philip Sweet, and Lady A's Charles Kelley. A bucket list moment for the brothers was having country music legend Vince Gill appear on "Travelin' On." The fellow "Okie" lent his pristine velvet vocals and signature guitar licks to the track. New artist Lewis Brice co-wrote "Southern Draw" with The Swon Brothers and is also featured on the recording. One of the last productions that is sandwiched between two presented versions of “Travelin’ On” is as organic as it gets. Colton and Zach Swon wrote, produced, and performed “Get On Down The Road” without the hands or notions of outside sources. With a heavy handful of country twang and gentle instrumental elements, the indirect closing song provides listeners with a sense of The Swon Brothers’ individuality and musicianship. Nashlahoma Track Listing: BEST OF THE BEST Written by Corey Crowder, Tyler Hubbard, Philip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook DRINK YOU UP Written by Corey Crowder, Tyler Hubbard, Brian Kelley, Charles Kelley and Jordan Schmidt GOOD TO YOU Written by Adam Hambrick, Jared Mullins and Jordan Schmidt MOMMAS Written by Colton Swon and Zach Swon SOMEWHERE SAN DIEGO Written by Jason Massey, Matt Rogers, Colton Swon and Zach Swon SOUTHERN DRAW Written by Lewis Brice, Colton Swon and Zach Swon GET IT ON Written by Nicholas Baum, Robyn Collins, Quint Collins, Seth Costner, Colton Swon and Zach Swon GOOD ON ME Written by Rodney Clawson, Corey Crowder, Tyler Hubbard and Chris Tompkins THIS TOWN Written by Colton Swon and Zach Swon TRAVELIN’ ON Written by Jonathan Dean, Stephen Hunley, Colton Swon and Zach Swon GET ON DOWN THE ROAD Written by Colton Swon and Zach Swon TRAVELIN’ ON (Extended Version) Written by Jonathan Dean, Stephen Hunley, Colton Swon and Zach Swon

dean Brody's "Brothers" should have been number 1 in the US. Him and the song was very underrated and deserved more. Seems we are now getting a second look at him in the states. "Boys" should be release here on country radio which might help get Mickey Guyton a boost.

Is Randall King's sophomore album coming out next Friday December 11? Country Aircheck Nov 23 issue said that it was, but I have seen absolutely zero promotion. Maybe that is just a Warner thing? This album is shaping up to be money with Hey Moon, She Gone, Hey Cowgirl, Burn It At Both Ends already released and all great tunes.

Probably doesn't belong here, but since she released "betty" to Country Radio. Taylor Swift announces 9th Studio album 'evermore', out tonight at Midnight (Dec 11th, 2020)

Taylor will always be a part of country. Even 'Lover', a certified pop album, had "Soon You'll Get Better" with The Chicks.

Folklore is filled with songs that actually fit mainly in the subgenre of country. Evermore would be the same following the Folklore album.

Another surprise Taylor Swift album? Really? Since she's not labeled country anymore, why is she on here. Plus why is it always a big deal when Taylor releases a new album. i like only "Betty" from her "Folklore" album.

Like it's fine that you don't really like her but a lotttttttt of people do, and folklore (and likely evermore) are in the folk/country vein so it's not that surprising they're mentioned here.

I mean for what it's worth on Taylor I think almost any song on Evermore could be released to country radio and I wouldn't really bat an eye (not to say i think it's a country album but I really don't think most of the songs would be out of place on country radio)

Artist: Willie Nelson Album: That's Life Label: Legacy Recordings Release date: February 26, 2021
That's Life is the upcoming seventy-first solo studio album by Willie Nelson. It is scheduled to be released on February 26, 2021, by Legacy Recordings as a tribute to Frank Sinatra, representing the third volume of Nelson's Sinatra collection, following 2018's My Way and 1978's Stardust.
Produced by Buddy Cannon and Matt Rollings, it was mainly recorded on Capitol Studios, the original studio used for several of Sinatra's recordings. Additional tracks were recorded at Nelson's Pedernales studio. The release was mixed by engineer Al Schmitt, featuring string and brass arrangements. The cover of the album features a painting of Nelson evoking the cover of Sinatra's In the Wee Small Hours.
“I learned a lot about phrasing listening to Frank,” Nelson said in 2018. “He didn’t worry about behind the beat or in front of the beat, or whatever — he could sing it either way, and that’s the feel you have to have.”
Nelson has routinely visited Sinatra’s songbook over the years, first on 1978’s Stardust, full of standards that Sinatra popularized. That record went quadruple platinum and became his most successful album ever. In 2018, Nelson released My Way, made up entirely of Sinatra songs, and won a Grammy.
The first release off the album is the single below, "Cottage For Sale."
