^^^ "Something in the Water" is a gospel song and it literally saved my life when I was 14. I have been waiting on a Carrie Underwood gospel record literally for a decade and I am BEYOND ecstatic that it's coming right in time for Easter!

Her Xmas album is immaculate and I have no doubt that her gospel companion project will be a treat as well!

I will say while I am excited for the Christian record, I am really ready for whenever Carrie Underwood releases a regular country album/music. Mainly because it's been a while since new regular music from her.

Mainly because it's been a while since new regular music from her. I have no doubt it's coming very shortly after the gospel record, a la Taylor Swift with folklore and evermore. I don't think the gospel album will be quite as heavily promoted as My Gift beyond perhaps the summer.

I think most artists can read the writing on the wall and know they are unlikely to be able to tour until next august-september at best, so this is the perfect time to release passion projects that don't need touring to support them, or are not well suited for massive arenas/stadium tours. Having said that I have checked My Gift a few times but felt no need to revisit it, so I suspect same for me regarding My Saviour. Time will tell.

I've never loved a single Gospel/Christian record before by any artist so I'm not that excited for Carrie's but that being said most of her more religious leaning singles have been among my favorite. On the other hand though I wasn't a fan of many of the more Gospel/Christian songs on My Gift so hopefully there is a good middle ground with this album.

It’s the perfect decision for her. Her country radio career could be waning a bit but she could score a couple huge hits with CCM Gospel. Good for her for following a passion project. UMG CMG is huge and will provide massive support like they did for Hillary Scott.

Does anyone know if there will be physical versions of the deluxe versions of Lady A’s Ocean, Brantley’s Fire & Brimstone & Pardi’s Heartache Medication albums?

I'm totally up for someone else starting the new thread and having one of the mods pin it. I'll be as active as ever with posts, but someone would probably be more on it than I've been lately keeping that front page updated regularly.
