Of the 12 tracks, 5 are currently out, and 2 of them are over 3 years old, and another will be almost 2 years old by the time the album is released. So a guy who prides himself as a prolific songwriter could only find 7 songs to record since 2017? What?!

After seeing the tracklist, I was just thinking for example Sam Hunt has so far released 6 out of the 12 tracks as stand alone singles which totals $7.74 (i.e. 6 x $1.29). Assuming his album is sold on iTunes for $9.99 does a customer who has already bought those stand alone singles end up paying just $2.25 for the entire album (using the complete my album feature)? For an artist like Maddie & Tae its even more tricky because their EPs are currently $6.45 each so will someone who has bought both EPs get the album (5 extra songs) for free???

Adult album alternative/Triple A radio, mainly for rock-leaning songs but now more Americana and indie country artists send songs there.

Tami Neilson, The Secret Sisters, Sierra Hull, Caitlyn Smith, Aubrie Sellers, and The Shires all can be added to the female onslaught, such a wonderful release year so far!

- Lucinda Williams’ next album, Good Souls Better Angels, will be out on April 24th via Highway 20/Thirty Tigers. “Ray (Kennedy) was getting these great sounds. He has all this vintage equipment,” Williams told Rolling Stone of the Nashville sessions. “It really rocks … a lot of stuff that is blues-rocky, edgy, grungy, and political.”
- Corb Lund will be releasing his 10th album on April 24th called Agricultural Tragic. “There are people who do Western music and they kind of freeze-dry it, like museum style,” Lund says. “I don’t do that at all. I’m interested in expressing myself currently. Which is actually what it feels like to have six generations of cowboy heritage thrown into the crazy 21st Century urban setting. I love the traditional style and I use it. But I approach it with abandon and irreverence.”
- When Midland announced that they would be playing a one-off show at the Palomino in October 2019, the North Hollywood venue hadn’t been operational for nearly 25 years. Though the original structure is still standing, the former country-music hot spot on Lankershim Boulevard now serves as a rentable banquet space for birthday parties and quinceañeras. The old Palomino building will get to retain some of its beer-soaked, neon-lit aura in perpetuity on Midland’s forthcoming document of that evening, Live From the Palomino. Due out February 28th, the concert LP attempts to reanimate the spirit of the Palomino with 10 tracks originally featured on Midland’s two full-length albums, catching the group when they felt like they were in peak live form.

That's probably the most interesting songwriting team in this album...

6. Build Me a DaddyAt 10 tracks and 33 minutes, this is Luke's shortest album. at that song title. Huh? I was expecting another 15-track album, so I'm quite surprised at the short length. Wonder how many singles will be released this era then if we're already 2-deep.

My soul is ready for Dixie Chicks music, I just went on a binge of their music and they are by far imo the best group in country music.

Wonder how many singles will be released this era then if we're already 2-deep. Luke said earlier that he is going to focus on making shorter albums more quickly, so that he can get newer music out to his fans more frequently. I would guess that means there may be only 3-4 singles this time around.

As good as “I Hope” is charting does that mean Gabby Barrett will be releasing her debut album soon? Plus she released “Good One” and “Hall Of Fame” When aren’t bad songs. So I hope so.

Last I checked her website says she's currently in the studio with Ross Copperman. I'd hope the album would be finished by now so that it can be announced while the radio momentum (which doesn't always matter of course) is hot. I definitely see it being out by 2021 at the latest.
