predictions probably coming true for The Box. Seems like it'll be top 5 for the year but not #1 plz don't let circles be number 1. It doesn't feel right at the top, a new decade and the number 1 song is a post malone leftover from the last decade.

Am I the only one that just...doesn't get Circles? Like, I've never gotten the hype for it and I don't know why. I dont get it either, although I cant point at what about the song I dont like, expect for the extreme overplay on the radio

Potential Repeats from the 2019 Year-End List - Week 17 (March 14, 2020)
LOCKED Circles Someone You Loved Senorita No Guidance Truth Hurts Trampoline bad guy Panini Only Human
OUT: I Don't Care *will most likely not repeat*, Sucker *will not repeat*, Trampoline *guaranteed to repeat*
And that's a wrap, all songs from the 2019 list have now either dropped out or will be showing up on the 2020 list, in which I Don't Care and Sucker will probably not be showing up on it (thankfully). Not sure what to do now though, maybe I'll just keep track of how many repeats are left on the charts until they're all gone or something.
Your 2019 repeats in their current 2020 YE order:

Unless all of you are suggesting that Circles is somehow the next Shape of You or Uptown Funk, I highly doubt it's going to be the year-end #1. Very rarely do year-end #1 songs appear on a different year-end list. And it's not like it got huge weeks either. The Box got even bigger weeks in its peak than Circles to the point where its points last week are way ahead of Circles' max points in a given week.

So here’s an obvious timeline for album bombs but it goes to show how crazy this year already is/is gonna be:
February 1: Eminem/Mac Miller Album Bomb
February 15: Lil Wayne Mini Album Bomb
February 29: Justin Bieber/A Boogie Mini Album Bomb March 7: Youngboy Mini Album Bomb March 14: Lil Baby/Bad Bunny Album Bomb March 21: Lil Uzi Vert Album Bomb (P1) March 28: Lil Uzi Vert Album Bomb DELUXE (P2) April 4: The Weeknd Album Bomb April 11: Dua Lipa Album Bomb (Mini or Huge idk yet obviously)
And we’re only in the first quarter

Circles was the weakest #1 of the 2010s decade and that week is counted for the 2020 year-end. Inverse point systems will overestimate Circles.

considering that radio songs never fucking die, I'd wager that Don't Start Now might be the year-end #1.

^Probably not. Same can be said about streaming songs and that component is a stronger one of the Hot 100.

I have a different song in mind that I think could be YE #1....... I know its a complete long shot, but let’s just say a song by The Weeknd will be #1 of YE 2020 Looking at the first few months of 2020 so far, Blinding Lights has a chance to be YE #1. It has the streaming and radio power behind it; it's gaining incredibly big currently. Once AH drops I say it will be #1 on the Hot 100, and based on how well it's growing right now it has a good chance to have the longevity needed to be #1.

If Circles can't catch up with Shape of You in the inverse points system (which it 99.99% won't), then it won't even be close to catching up with it under a real points system.

It's the third most streamed song on U.S. Spotify (original + remix) and the original version is not top 10 due to one of the biggest album bombs of all-time.

I wonder if that Juice Wrld remix of Suicidal will save its run for the 2020 year end list. It needs a minimum of 3 more weeks to scrape by under my calculations.

For the week of March 14, 2020, here's my estimate of where songs are on the Hot 100 top 100 songs of the year.
The Box should climb to either #3 or #2 on the year end chart next week, assuming it stays at #1 on the weekly chart. In reality, it's probably already ahead of Circles in points, but I can see the latter sticking around longer, possibly long enough to reclaim #1 in real points. The problem with an inverse points system is there's no easy way to account for how much of a lead a #1 song has over #2, and from what I've seen on some estimates, it was often a 2:1 lead. The longer it stays at #1, the more I (in retrospect) account for that in my system. Harry Styles looks to have already locked down a definite spot in the year-end, and Yummy is verrry close to that.
