while I love Watermelon Sugar, it already being out for longer and consistent getting a lot of streams since then might make it have less room to grow as a single. i personally think they should go with either Falling or Golden

And Zayn has two songs bigger then any of the other members. But I do think Harry will continue to be successful as the others slowly flutter out of the mainstream. |

Zayn's debut had the POTENTIAL to be really big. It had one huge smash, still the biggest to date by any former 1D member, but that's pretty much it. That album was packed with potential followup smashes but for 'whatever reason,' promo halted after the second single underperformed. I wouldn't refer to Mind of Mine as a "huge era"- examples of those for male pop stars around that time would be Purpose, Beauty Behind The Madness, and ÷. Harry has never had a smash like "Pillow Talk" but he's been a stronger album seller, maintained a larger public profile, and is a MAJOR touring act. The fact that radio is salivating for a radio-friendly smash even following half a decade of "flop singles" is proof not only of this song's quality, but also his star power. And no shade to Zayn. I'm a fan and would love to see him on top of the charts again. |
