I didn't know much of Juice WRLD's music, but I really loved his feature on Hate Me (I kind of felt like pop fans unfairly hated on that one). This is already sad, but the timing of it makes it feel even heavier - I was just thinking the other day that it felt like people are 'over' this whole year and decade and just want to get into 2020 already so we can wipe the slate clean. Someone so young not being able to start that new decade with us is...ugh. RIP, Juice.

I also am kind of conflicted about posthumous releases, especially when the artist had a lot of material. Putting aside quality issues, as a fan of course you think, it would be a shame not to get to hear all of that material. But OTOH the person isn't here anymore and not able to control how that material is released or presented to the public. Even for a legend like Prince, who is fortunate enough to have an estate controlled by people who knew and really respect him, you have to wonder how he would feel about each release his estate has put out. Is that how he would have wanted those particular songs to be heard? We'll never know.

For a young artist like Juice I think I would only release any albums that were in progress (assuming the track list was at least 75% finalized - a lot of times people are 'working on an album' but have 50 to 100 songs to choose from) and then release one other compilation of demos, loose tracks, etc. for the fans. If a compilation like that would be super large, so be it - split it up into multiple discs if you need to, but just release it all at once. Dragging it out with multiple releases like XXX's label does is tacky af and (unless it's the family doing it) doesn't really allow their loved ones to ever find any peace or sense of closure.

Considering it's the "tribute song" towards Juice, I feel Legends might actually comeback and get streamed the most.

If an artist doesn't want a song to be released while they're alive, why should it get released after death? If they were planning for a specific song to be included on an album, or have an album already recorded, then release it. But if it's leftovers from years ago it shouldn't be released.

He was, if not finished, almost done with his third album. He announced that he was going to release it on the 2nd, but that never came. It would have probably come by the end of the year.

I'd be fine if that was released since it's probably done/almost done but that should be the end of it. Don't give him the Peep and X treatment

Juice and Young Thug were also supposed to released a collab project and already had a video shot for a single. According to Thug they had something like 40 songs together so I'd expect the album to be released.

Unfortunately we can only go off what Billboard provides for and estimates based on previous years. It's a gold track so its Mediabase airplay data is hidden from public view on AllAccess, meaning Kworb doesn't have it either.

Re-enter it at #1 I don't think so. But there have been songs that have ren-entered the charts and peaked at #1 like UB40's Red Red Wine.

Also Bohemian Rhapsody re-entered in the early 90s and peaked at #2.

Lucid Dreams finally going #1 because of Juice's death would be so bittersweet. Very emotional moment for me because I was one of the ones salty when it didn't go #1 last year, but I sure didn't expect it to happen like this...
