My heart almost sank when I thought there was a chance American Pie would cause an elimination. Such an incredible song.

Omg I won! I really was nervous if some of the judges just didn't like the style of TAOPP. Clearly that was not the case.
Sucks to see Hamed go with Man Down as it's one of my favorites from Rihanna, but it was clearly the weakest song of the set.

A nice group of songs, but honestly also a bit too safe. Would like to have seen some chances taken because we are almost at the end.

ROUND ELEVEN - RESULTS
Welcome to the eleventh elimination ceremony! First of all, I want to congratulate the final four for making it this far. Y'all really deserved it. Edited this to welcome our guest judges for the round, BB🌕 and Exclusive!!!
Now to shortened your wait, we'll get to the result now. The person who did the best is...{Spoiler} TRILOGY!The Supremes - "You Keep Me Hangin' On"Okay we get it, you're not playing around. Just when I thought everyone has caught up to you, you returned to the top of the pack. Congratulations on your fourth win of the season!Sambalada: "The most apparent thing that caught my attention about this song is the instrumental. Seriously, the bassline is so catchy and the 'beep beep' sound in the background is such a genius touch. After that, we're served with the gorgeous vocal performance. Diana sound absolutely flawless here and it was no doubt she has the personality needed to become an icon. The song is very well-written and this version in particular become one of the most timeless pop track in history." (9.6)MoD: "This is a really well done song. It has that funky vibe that made these type of songs so popular, and combined with the vocals they create perfectly that Motown mood. It is also really catchy, it really leaves an impact in the listener, and in this case that is a really good thing." (8.7)Lukas: "This song is incredible. The vocals here are quite nice, and mixing in the spectacular instrumental with them makes for an incredible listen. The song is also incredibly well-made, and more importantly I think, it is unforgettable." (9.5)Hamed: "This is a timeless classic and one of my favorites from The Supremes, I absolutely cherish the melody." (8.5)BB: "I love this song. The chorus is just iconic. The verses are really good too. I really like the lyrics. My only problem is that it ends so unexpectedly soon. But that’s just nitpicking." (9.3)fighter74: "Leave it to The Supremes to create a timeless song a as good as "You Keep Me hangin' On". They establish why they are one of the most successful female groups of all time with this timeless tune." (9.0)TOTAL: 54.6 | AVERAGE: 9.1And the person who escaped the bottom two is...{Spoiler} NICK PERKINS!The Temptations - "My Girl"You probably have the most roller-coaster like run of the season and fortunately for you, this time you aren't sliding in the bottom. Congratulations you're safe!Sambalada: "This is hands down my favorite Motown song. Ever. This is perfection in so many ways. We're introduced to this song with the gorgeous instrumental. The bassline is among one of the best classic Motown style. Accompanied with steel drums and strings, they sound perfect. The vocals are the definition of male vocal perfection. It also helped that the song is so catchy and, ugh, I don't know what else I can say. This song is soooo good." (9.8)MoD: "Just a great song. Those vocals, as well as the lyrics are really sweet, the instrumental is really nice and it really fits the vibe of the song, and the harmonies on it blend perfectly, leaving us with a song that is the definition of cute." (9.2)Lukas: "The instrumentation is obviously the strong part here. The lyrics are also nice, and combined with those top-tier vocals makes for a very enjoyable listen. The production here is eh, which is what brings down its rating a bit, but it’s still a pass for me." (8.0)Hamed: ""It's been forever since I've heard this, it's a lovely pleasant tune and a classic." (8.0)BB: "I love the vocal harmonies in the chorus. The lyrics are also really cute. The production hasn’t dated particularly well. But it’s 50 years old so I’ll let it slide." (8.3)fighter74: "This classic still sounds fresh over half a century since it's release. "My Girl" has all the qualities of an excellent song. Simple yet thoughtful lyrics and a wonderful arrangement and those immaculate vocals." (10)TOTAL: 53.3 | AVERAGE: 8.88Which means the bottom two is...{Spoiler} MAYMAN & WALT91Mayman. You have a very consistent run building up your momentum to your first win last round, but maybe after you reached your goal, you are running out of drive?Walt91. As one of the early frontrunners, I gotta say you have been coasting your way for a while. While your submissions have been good, they aren't as outstanding as your earlier submissions. The person who still get to stay is...{Spoiler} WALT91!The Marvelettes - "Please Mr. Postman"Sambalada: "This is the song I'm most unfamiliar with out of this selection but honestly I'm glad this was sent because it's such a nice listen. The vocals are really good and even though the songwriting isn't really strong, the woman carried the tune well. I do feel like this might take time to grow on me, it may be because I'm not familiar with the song though, but it's not like the song is unremarkable." (7.8)MoD: "Obviously a really good song, but it doesn't entirely grab me, I feel like it's a really nice sounding listen, but for me there's not really replay value. I find the vocals to be a little bit obnoxious too, although the melody and instrumental are pretty good, and they work together, but the product overall doesn't entirely make it for me." (6.7)Lukas: "As a song that I wasn’t that familiar with, I enjoy what this song has to offer. While the vocals aren’t incredibly strong, they fit in with the song pretty well. The production isn’t incredible but it does its work here. The instrumentation is also pretty nice. This song is, in short, incredibly enjoyable." (8.5)Hamed: ""A nice classic tune, I never listened to this before and I love the responses of the vocals on parts. Aside from that it's a nice pleasant tune but not something I would ever really seek out ever again." (7.0)BB: "Probably my favorite in the set. I don’t exactly know why I love this so much but I do. The lead singer’s voice is really good to me. The backup vocals seem a little flat but I don’t mind that." (9.6)fighter74: "Great song, the soulful delivery and raspy vocal of the lead singer's voice completely emulates the feeling that this song intends to convey." (8.0)TOTAL: 47.6 | AVERAGE: 7.93As the competition is closing in, you need to always be on your A-game. Congratulations you're safe!Which means...{Spoiler} MAYMAN,I'm sorry but you have been eliminated. The Jackson 5 - "I Want You Back"Sambalada: "Michael Jackson's journey into becoming the King of Pop started with this group. This song has proven to have stood the test of time and became a classic. The melody is very catchy and the vocalist's talent carried it well, and the fact that he's still a child makes it even more impressive. The songwriting is perfect for the fun instrumental. All in all, this is a really great song with just a couple small things holding it back, like the few times the vocals sounded restraint towards the end, but the song itself is still good." (8.7) MoD: "Objectively, this is a really good song. The instrumental is catchy, so is the melody of the song, and the vocals are great, but I have to say that because of the overplay now I find this song to be kind of annoying, and it has definetely limited my enjoyment of it. Good song, but I can't get into it." (6.0) Lukas: "This song is mid, and even more so in this set of songs. The song is indeed well-made, no doubt about that, but I find the vocals and the instrumentation to be incredibly mid and sometimes annoying. When I think of the Jackson 5, there is no way I would be thinking of this." (5.0) Hamed: "A fantastic timeless classic, it's a pretty adorable song and while I don't really actively ever seek it out on my own, its always been a pleasant listen." (8.0) BB: "This song is really fun. However, I’m not sure I like Michael’s voice in this. It can get grating. The instrumental is really good and it is really catchy. It doesn’t hold up on repeated listens." (6.9) fighter74: "This song is truly a classic. Young MJ a slides with confidence and spunk over this groovy track with the help of his siblings." (9.5) TOTAL: 44.1 | AVERAGE: 7.35
Okay I didn't expect this song to have an average score lower than an 8 and I'm sure you also didn't, but here we are. I have warned you a couple times about predictable submissions, they have given you some of your highest score but they also have put you in the bottom and unfortunately this time it gives you the lowest score. Thank you for participating!
...However...
{Spoiler} ... The judges and I have agreed this will be a non-elimination round.
Since IO boardicided, we were faced with two choices. We either delete one round or we pull another non-elim. In the top 7, I told my judges I decided to choose the latter and to do it in the Motown round. They agreed to it so here we are.
That means Mayman, you're still running in the competition. As a punishment for getting the lowest score, for every scores the judges give you in the next round, they will be deduced by .4 points. Thank your lucky stars.

Omg i even messaged Samb that I was going to send either IWYB or My Girl and I decided to go with IWYB. Thank you for the non-elimination.
Although losing at least 1.2+ points will be tough, I will try my very best to make this top 3. Considering that the top scores have been 8-9+, I absolutely have to bring it.

ROUND TWELVE - THE GODFATHER OF POPFeatured Song: Depeche Mode - "Enjoy The Silence"
----------Synthpop is a genre of music that uses the synthesizer as the dominant instrument. Many people regarded the trend of Synthpop in popular music from the late '70s through the '80s as the peak of pop music in general, and the genre gave birth to many great artists. For this round, send a Synthpop song. As usual, if you have any confusion you can ask here or through your PM.
So I lied about last round being the second to last round but this time there's no second chance. This will determine which ones of you will make the final three. Good luck!Deadline: February 16th 4PM EST
