#20. Pottery - Texas Drums, Pt. I & IIidk why but I just felt a huge gap between this one and "Take Your Time". Same great instrument styles. You got the cowbell and all that cool stuff, but the whole vocals delivery just seemed too silly. It felt like a trailer of the actual song. #19. Miynt - PeachesMore of that L ana Del Rey lite stuff. I'm just way too ahead for the music to fully enjoy. I'm already tapping to a chorus that never comes on time, and when it does it slows my TPM's (Taps per minute). and don't get me started on my head bopping. I feel like a race car at the starting gate that never gets the green flag. #18. WRENN - Craigslist PersonalsIf I put this one a bit higher is because it sounds like a emo ballad from Paramore. It was pretty hard to get into my top 20 this time around. #17. Djo - Flash MountainThat bassline man. It never let me stop head bopping. Also be it for me to hear a bit of The Cars trying out some Garage Metal ideas in this song. It just feels like a perfect Muscle car driving jam. #16. Billy Strings - Away From the MireThis was a serious AAA wet dream song. It also just got tooo Banjo-y for me to handle. #15. Hayley Williams - SimmerThis one is good. Falls were it should. It's also about as pop artzy I can go, and its because of Haley's Vocals. I enjoy her Artzy bops a tad more. Go check out "Dead Horse" if you have the same unstoppable leg tapping syndrome I suffer from. #14. Sorry - As The Sun SetsFemale vocals that didn't upgrade the song on my list. Sorry, but it happens. The music was just a bit too gloomy. The sun was definitely going down when this was on. #13. Chromatics - You're No GoodReally Not top 10? This gave me a serious Disco hard-on. ABBA couldn't dream up a better comeback song. I kinda feel this was deliberately kept down so Chromatics wouldn't go top 10 again, but don't quote me on that. #12. Fontaines D.C. - A Hero's DeathI really enjoyed the Alec Baldwin wannabe talk show fantasy here. The vocals while surely unique just didn't help me to like the song any more. They had a weird Iggy Pop delivery thing going on. The music was just fine tho. #11. Thundercat - Dragonball DuragThis had a lot of that Weeknd guy vocal vibe going on. I just don't go for that guy's style. Even "Blinding Lights" with its retrowave sound didn't hype me because of that Weekend fellow. To make a long story short. This is funky , but tooooo and chill for me. I'm not in the least surprised which group of us tanked this "sick" wonder away.

Also I said vibe not tones. Anyway, Listened to "Untitled (How Does It Feel)" and you are right, but I wouldn't have known that before because I never heard that song until tonight. Anyway that one , This one ,and Weeknd are not my groove and not my style. Sorry.

30: I'll Have What She's Having- I liked this enough, pretty fun and quirky without being annoying. Haven't really revisited it much, but I like it enough.
29: Turn the Bow- I swear I have this song in my discover weekly at least once a month. Spotify really likes giving me these clunky hard rock tracks even though I like...rarely like them. That said this one is better than a lot of similar songs I hear in this vein, it's catchy enough but it never really clicked with me.
28: Talking Distance- This failed to make an impression on me
27: Love Without Possession- Aaaa I really want to like this, there's a lot Mount Eerie does right that I enjoy but I've never really loved his stuff as much as I'd expect. This one fell a little flat too, it's like pleasant enough but still kinda dull.
26: Feed Me Tonight- Huh can't say I expected this to be a doc pick but it's very good, best discovery of the set.
25: Downhill Lullaby- This was...fine. Maybe a little too abstract and big brain for my taste but it's listenable
24: Hollow World- This was another one I really struggled to remember, but every time I revisited it I thought like, yeah this is nice. I ended up moving it up a decent bit from my original list
23: Delete Forever- I like this one a lot. Unexpected style for Grimes but she does it well.
22: Take Your Time- Idk I struggled to get into both of the Pottery songs. Like they're kinda cool but not really something I want to come back to. Their sound kinda just makes me antsy. I liked the other song more.
21: November- I feel I kinda underranked this one. It's cool enough just goes on a bit too long and a little too noisy for me
20: Texas Drums Pt. 1&2- Previous commentary on Pottery stands, but I got into this one a little more.
19: Peaches- Pleasant enough, didn't stand out
18: Craigslist Personals- I mean it's my own song. Just a real good piece of like kinda 90s-y indie rock wish a great chorus.
17: Flash Mountain- This one was neat, even though I did think the vocals were annoying at times, the grooves and instrumentals are undeniable
16: Away from the Mire- Another really good discovery. I like this song more every time I hear it, really pleasant piece of alt country
15: Simmer- Blehhh I really like Hayley Williams but I absolutely can not get into her solo work, regrettably.
14: As the Sun Sets- This is like, just as good as Right Round the Clock. I wasn't too hot on the full album, but this is definitely a standout track
13: You're No Good- I liked this more than the other Chromatics track we ranked but neither is as good as Black Walls
12: A Hero's Death- As I've expressed before, this brand of shouty art punk does absolutely nothing for me
11: Dragonball Durag- Is fun and smooth enough, but Thundercat has songs I like more, I unironically prefer the song he performed for Carole & Tuesday (and on that note I stay impressed that Carole and Tuesday had Thundercat, Flying Lotus, and Denzel Curry as featured acts)

#10 Day Wave - Starting Again
Chosen By: MoD Points: 485 SD: 10.83306342
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: This song sounds like it could have been made in the 80's or 90's. That's not a complaint. There are definite jangle pop vibes that I'm getting here, and they are welcome. shazam: i really like everything i've heard from Day Wave (Drag is a jam), but something about this is holding me back from loving it. maybe it'll click eventually, but it's still a good one

This was a really solid song. I've liked what I've heard from Day Wave before, and this is no different.

#9 Spanish Love Songs - Kick
Chosen By: BlurryKyle (this is Kyle if his name is still invisible) Points: 503 SD: 13.14404007 (2nd HIGHEST)
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: If this song had been released between 2015 and 2018, it would have been one of my ten favorite songs of the entire year, let alone one of my favorite songs here. I feel like I've grown out of this style just a little bit, but I can't deny that "Kick" is a really good slice of pop punk. shazam: i'll admit i haven't really jumped on the SLS train completely, but there's no denying this song is a powerhouse. really glad this could make top 10

#8 Ghost - Mary on a Cross
Chosen By: janinho Points: 509 SD: 10.46032605
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: I quite like "Kiss the Go-Goat", and I probably gravitated to that song more initially, but, looking back...yeah, this is probably the better track on Satanic Panic. I feel like Ghost have always been in tune with the 70's sound and have thrived on capturing that vibe, but that's especially the case here. shazam: i'm a huuuuge fan of Ghost, and while i don't think this is among my favorites of theirs, this is still pretty damn good. i'm cool with Ghost taking this psychedelic turn in sound

#7 King Princess - Ohio
Chosen By: rowellfarm490 Points: 533 SD: 7.99522884 (2nd LOWEST)
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: I don't have a lot of previous experience with King Princess, and I mostly just remember "1950". I thought that song was fine, but I could already tell that this is a step above before it revved into high gear. This would have fit in remarkably well in the Alt scene of the mid-90's. shazam: so where on earth did this come from? i was a fan of 1950, but wow this was exceptional. King Princess going heavy psych isn't something i ever thought i'd be hearing, but here it is, and it's awesome!

This was unbelievably good, especially considering I had pretty low expectations after "1950". I may need to totally reevaluate King Princess as an artist now lmao

#6 Georgia - Never Let You Go
Chosen By: American Idiot Points: 533 SD: 8.904611461 (8th LOWEST)
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: I was definitely interested in checking out Georgia's work after hearing "Aries" for the first time, though I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. I guess I probably should have seen this synth-driven material coming. This is nice and sweet. shazam: i def need to check out more Georgia, this and "About Work the Dancefloor" were both great groovy, dancey jams

#5 Metric - Risk
Chosen By: Geometrical Points: 537 SD: 8.886861977 (7th LOWEST)
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: This felt like a bit of a mix of Fantasies and the best parts of Synthetica, with more of an emphasis on Fantasies. I really dug "Dark Saturday", and I liked "Now or Never Now", but this might be better than both. shazam: i haven't been thrilled with a lot of newer Metric, but this is a killer. stoked this could do so well!

#4 Muted Color - Daisy Chain
Chosen By: lyhom Points: 554 SD: 9.728417408
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: If it has shoegaze elements in it, chances are that I'll like it, and wouldn't you know it? I like "Daisy Chain"! Funny how that works. shazam: this was, i believe, my highest first listen. i loved this and i'm really happy it managed to make top 5!
