This is what typically ends up happening when I do Active RDs lol. Everyone here probably hates me cuz I'm always tanking they're favorites because of my personal taste lol. Upgrade what you dig ,and tank what you hate. Just play it by ear. Always my motto lol.

Is this turning into a LBTrocks and ChicaCherry콜라 (to a certain extent Az as well with the past two reveals) tanks everything show? Taste is subjective. Everyone tanked our shit but really I’m just ranking based on my actual preferences. I’m genuinely surprised by a lot of these. It’s all fun and games shitting all over our favorites until we tank yours then suddenly it’s war.

the terrifying thing about this photo is that the person standing behind him makes it look like he has got another head growing above his own. Or worse. A tumor. Look closer.

I get annoyed or frustrated about songs going out all the time, but I make sure to try and not do too much, as far as posters who tanked said songs are concerned. I might get snarky, but that's about as far as I want it to go. Anything more than that, and you risk becoming Green. And nobody wants that.

Just missing out on this year's Active rankdown is a song from the rapper Hyro the Hero. It would've been interesting to see how this song was received had it been able to make the cut.

It was coming from more of a place of poking fun at what I was seeing - I do my list based on my preferences too, it’s not a serious issue for me at all (I do tend to exaggerate when commenting on threads but literally nothing about any person’s rank offends me personally in any way so)!

Is this turning into a LBTrocks and ChicaCherry콜라 (to a certain extent Az as well with the past two reveals) tanks everything show? Lol having literally grown up on Becky my perspective on this music tends to be quite at odds with the rock regulars, I'm used to it. Obviously I like the music (otherwise I wouldn't keep coming back lmao) but I don't even actively keep up with the rock/alt formats so I generally go into these not knowing what everyone likes/dislikes. So I wind up being wildly at odds with someone on most things, hence my being a staple of the low end of closeness rankings.

I'm very tired, and I kind of just want to go to sleep...but a top ten preview waits for no one. (I could probably wait until tomorrow to do this, but better to do it now than later.) As always, if I screw up somewhere or leave something out, I'm sure you guys will make sure to let me know.
-- Four bands are making their first top ten appearance: Badflower, Ice Nine Kills, The Black Moods, and The Blue Stones. The last three bands are all doing so in their first ever Active rankdown. - After struggling to gain traction in the recent years rock chart rankdowns, Weezer have finally broken through with a top ten appearance in a modern rock chart rankdown, their sixth total. All of their previous top ten appearances came in rankdowns before the year 2002. They've come very close to winning an Active rankdown before. Could "The End of the Game" finally give them a victory? - Ghost are in the top ten for the fifth and sixth time. This is the third year in a row Ghost have made the top ten in Active, and they've made the top ten in all but one of the years they've been eligible. They're also looking to do what I said they might do last year: Go from #3 to #2 to #1. With two songs in the top ten, they have, arguably, the best chance to do just that. - A Perfect Circle are in the top ten once again, making their eleventh top ten appearance. They are still looking for their first winner, also coming agonizingly close to taking the top spot twice. - It just wouldn't be an Active top ten without Tool, who are now in the top ten for a whopping seventeenth time. They have never, I repeat, never missed an Active top ten, and it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that "Fear Inoculum" probably wouldn't be the first one to miss. The bigger question is, can Tool grab a fifth Active #1? - You'd think that Tool would be the big veterans of this Active top ten, but you might have forgotten one: Chevelle are making their nineteenth (that's right, nineteenth) top ten appearance, and all but ONE of them have been in Active rankdowns. It still amuses me that "Joyride" remains the only time they have won a rock chart rankdown. Could "Sleep Walking Elite" pull a "Joyride" and surprise its way to the top?

Got distracted, so I missed the last few reveals. Just want to say that Sum 41 is probably the first act I called myself a fan of, so seeing them getting a rock radio hit in 2019 is insane. Didn't expect it to do that well in this rankdown either, so that's cool.
This top 10 is cool too.

So what'd I miss 25. Heroin - BadflowerExhales. thank you for not taking this top 10. First off I loved "Promise Me". Easy top 30 if it had made the top 100 of 2019, but this depressing vibe here tunes me out hard. It's like wannabe 90's Nirvana style that I didn't care for. Picks up towards the middle, but by then I'm so down and grimmed out that I'm scrolling around for any other song with an upbeat vibe. For once LBTrocks and me are at total odds, but it happens. 24. Mind Your Manners - Slash f/ Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators Now we are talking. Fierce hard rock vibe. You know you are gonna get something exciting whenever the name Slash drops in a song. Myles sounds great too. It's just a fast fun adrenaline driving song. Great for drinking to, working out, or just air guitaring at home too. 23. Last Day Under the Sun - VolbeatWTF! goes through my mind. How dare this doesn't make the top 10. I'm gravely disappointed with Volbeat fans here. For me the best song ever by this band, and they have some great songs, but this one goes hard into my perfect Rock n Roll zone. The thing about 2019 is that it was a spectacular year for songs that grab me from the first couple of guitar strums. 22. Too Bad - Rival SonsThis "Sons" band isn't hokey nor anything bad. The song almost made it out of my worst songs of the year" range. I just find their riffs, choruses, and especially his vocals very uninteresting. 21. You'll Be Fine - Palaye RoyaleThis is a good song. It wouldn't hurt for the lead singer to add a little melody to his vocals. I haven't done much with them since that first single. I checked out a couple of their other new singles. "Hang On To Yourself" sounded the most enticing to me. 20. All Out Life - SlipknotI wouldn't consider my #59 ranking low at all. It misses my top 50, but those are the song I find flawless. This song is great for work outs, but a little too noisy for anything I might find myself doing that day. 19. Rainier Fog - Alice in ChainsThis song was great. No problems ,and the guitars carried that melody nicely with the grungy vibes. Top 10 on my weekly Metal chart. 18. Lo/Hi - The Black KeysI liked this one. A perfect #1 single that gets the album going with NRG. No boring intros no B.S. of any sort, just a smooth sailing Indie rock jam. I ranked it exactly where it peaked on my chart #30.

It won't take a rocket scientist to figure out that two of these songs are in my top 10, but there is another one that might surprise you. It would surely surprise me if I turn out to be one of the highest rankers too. I really like a few of the other ones too. A couple of these are not for me,so I hope they go out first, but yeah right. That isn't about to happen in this lifetime. A Perfect Circle - So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish Chevelle - Sleep Walking Elite Ghost - Dance Macabre Ghost - Faith Ice Nine Kills - A Grave Mistake The Black Moods - Bad News The Blue Stones - Black Holes (Solid Ground) Tool - Fear Inoculum Weezer - The End of the Game - What songs are your surprised made it this far?
A few of these bands get free pasess everytime, just the same way Def Leppard or Kiss would get on a RD of my own. "Bad News" surprised me the most. I can't even recall most of you praising "So Long and Thanks For The Fish" at all, and somehow here it is. Not complaining tho. -Which songs are you disappointed about coming up short?
Of course DIAMANTE, but you all let me down huge with "Last Day Under The Sun". -My #1 actually made the top ten this year after missing in both the Active 2017 and 2018 rankdowns. Which song do you think earned my top rank?
It better be one of the Ghost songs. 'nuff said -Care to predict how this top ten plays out? "Dance Macabre" for the win!

A couple of these extras made my charts. Right as Rain - Collective SoulTerrific comeback. I can't recall anything from this band since "Hollywood" which I loved BTW. This was a great jam. The hook was perfectly channeling Tom Petty's "Jammin' Me", and as much as I despised the rain I just couldn't penalize this goodness for that. Bent - Buckcherry Here is a song I would have easily slotted into my top 20...and you all would have tanked and probably made jokes about it being Bent. I found the album to be just fine for Buckcherry. There are some travesties that I will not mention, but also some great sounding Hard Rock songs like the title cut for one. "The Vacuum" is fierce and "Radio Song". A cool powerballad Which is coming up next on my weekly charts. Sugar Honey Ice & Tea - Bring Me the HorizonTried for "Mantra" part 2, but just didn't get the support from the fans. I didn't mind it actually. Just that the mid break was too weird for me to. Just a bunch of talking about stuff I don't relate to. Bullet - Hyro the HeroAnother sure fire tank filler on my list. This Hyro guy just went on with his pissed off rapping tones about this and that ,and sounded very unappealing to me in every sense of the word. The good news for you guys is those Glorious Sons gloryless songs would have swam out of my tank.
