No matter how I try to twist it, Yummy's opening on Spotify is BAD. Compared to Selena Gomez and The Weeknd for instance:
Yummy's first 3 days: 1,863,557 1,458,513 1,131,372
LYTLM: 2,151,707 2,508,273 2,659,591
Heartless: 2,634,575 1,716,187 1,627,695

It really is Justin's Filthy. Looks like he skipped over his 20/20 Experience and went straight to his MOTW.

All he needs now is a critically panned Super Bowl performance and a sleeper hit with a country feature that ends up being the hidden gem of the whole era. š Honestly, if you stop to think about it, the parallels between Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber are quite interesting, notably their high profile relationships with former Disney stars which inspired a good chunk of their respective music careers.

Yummy's already down to #3 at iTunes and #7 at Apple Music. I really didn't expect the lead single off his first album in 5 years to perform this poorly. I'm really surprised.

I wish Justin would go back to making music like "Baby", now that was a bop.

Oh God, TOKYO'S REVENGE has a chance of charting next week. The X copycats are coming ughhhhhh.
I can't wait for every edgelord screamo rap to get Worst of the Week. I'll stick to Death Grips if I want violent and loud rap, thank you very much.

what is the appeal behind sugar? i listened to it and was not impressed at all Wait when did Sugar start doing this well wtf?? Anyways, It is sonically appealing and the guitar work is stunning. I have been listening to BH since 2017, and although this is not close to their best, I think that this has a chance to become big if given the right circumstances. Hell, it was #32 and rising on Spotify yesterday. I also recommend their album Ginger if you like Sugar, the entire album is a depressive bop

Glad that it's getting the recognition it deserves

So do people really still believe he'll get that #1? Is it just because the charts are so weak?
The Weeknd started with much better numbers and still had to perform on Colbert as well as do a huge sales push.

^He had CDs and vinyl for Heartless. Granted, I do agree performing helped those week's sales.

I'm 100% confident Justin will tag on 10,000 Hours to his album for SPS and to say he got a "hit" because it will go to #1 on country radio soon.

Perhaps...oh my goodness, you're right! It's no "Say Something" but, as someone here suggested, it might be added on the album to increase streams and sales. It's too early to tell how his new album will do, but "10,000 Hours" might very well become the saving grace of this era in terms of commercial/chart performance.

I wouldn't doubt on "My Oh My" just yet. It's performing extremely well for an album track that only had a live performance as promo. If Camila makes a smashing music video Ć la "Havana", it could very well crack the top 10, or even further.

Hereās my take on the likelihood of the songs I posted:
Donāt Start Now: This could be able to reach the top 10 but thereās also a chance that it might not, itās a 50/50 chance. However, there is a possibility that it might reach the top 15 because itās still increasing in streaming and radio.
Blinding Lights: This will hit the top ten if The Weeknd keeps on promoting the song. It has got great potential and will have a longer lasting impact than Heartless.
Adore You: Iām conflicted on this one. It might hit the top ten but I have a feeling that it wonāt be the case. But I do have hopes that itāll reach the top 20.
Falling: Even though this emo rap song is massive on TikTok, I doubt that itāll reach the top ten. Itāll peak somewhere in the top 20.
My Oh My: This song is just taking off. It probably has a high chance of hitting the top ten. Itās big on TikTok, radio just started to promote it, and streaming is decent. Plus, it uses the āHavanaā formula so I wouldnāt be surprised if it reaches the top ten in a month or two.

Wouldnāt yummy have some longevity because of these radio gains? Sadly this could possibly have a HITR type run where it falls then stabilizes and then when the album comes out it goes back to the top 10

It's honestly stunning that I went from wondering just how overwhelming Justin's #1 debut was gonna be to seriously questioning if he's gonna have to tack 10,000 Hours onto his album like Nicki did with FEFE to make it seem like it has a hit. I hope for his sake that either Yummy stabilizes in a respectable place or his second single is an undeniable smash.
