I love the song but I'm also very excited to see Spectrum Pulse and Todd in the Shadows make videos/talk about it lmao, seeing them get angry is great Mark will probably give it a βWORST OF THE WEEKβ by default Todd would probably just be assertive aggressive cuz the song isnβt even worth getting that angry over Mark already did give it a WORST OF THE WEEK back when it debuted |

Well, Blinding Lights did technically come out in 2019, albeit at the end of the year. I'll probably always associate it with 2020, though, just as I associate Bad Romance with 2010 even though it came out in Late 2009. |

I'm gonna go out on limb and predict Yummy won't be on the album. When Ariana's Focus flopped hard, she took it off the album and released a new lead single and I think that's what's gonna happen to Yummy.

I'll probably always associate it with 2020, though, just as I associate Bad Romance with 2010 even though it came out in Late 2009. I'm referring to songs like OTR, bad guy, No Guidance, and Senorita. Those songs have overstayed their welcome in the top 20, we need fresh songs. |

Would roddy richh be considered the most successful xxl freshman of 2019 DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, and Gunna are apart of that group, but he would be the first to have a #1 Wow, thatβs a stacked lineup. Iβd say Meghan & DaBaby are ahead of Gunna despite the fact that βDrip Too Hardβ outpeaked their respective biggest hits so far because they definitely have more name recognition. Idk how Roddy ranks, I didnβt know much about him until the past few weeks. |

I donβt think this is as bad as the Focus fiasco How so? For starters, βFocusβ is definitely wayyy less palatable to the average listener. βYummyβ may be boring, but thatβs an advantage when compared to βFocusβ (good LORD Mr. Foxx). Iβm not sure how βYummyβ will perform in the future because Bieber has given the song a horrifying amount of negative publicity (baby photos? VPNs?? What?!??), but itβs not as bad as βFocusβ. This has a shot at 20 weeks. |

Lil Pump and Gunna were already huge when they ended up being put on the 2018 and 2019 lists respectively, so how popular the artist is doesn't really seem to matter. |

From a commercial perspective, itβs very similar to the βFocusβ fiasco if not much worst.
Grande was following the βMy Everythingβ era which, according to her fans then and prior to the βTU,Nβ era, was her βpeakβ where she scored 4 Hot 100 top tens, all of which went multi-platinum and higher, plus an additional top 15 hit. Granted she never promoted βFocusβ to the degree in which Bieber has tried to promote βYUMMYβ but the way that the former completely underperformed at the time was very telling.
Bieber was a dominant force on the Hot 100 circa. 2015-2017 and heβs also scored two additional (duet/collaborative) top tens the past year.
The way βYUMMYβ has completely bombed is shocking and his antics to try and get it to debut at number one has not helped.
This is easily the most FORCED and DESPERATE lead single release since...

Drake and Nicki (also Post Malone and Young Thug) all declined to be on the cover, but were given spots I don't know about Post Malone and Young Thug, but XXL failed to put Nicki and Drake, BY FAR the hottest rappers of 2009, on their 2009 cover and then offered them a spot on their 2010 cover when they had both become legit stars already. I'm not surprised they both declined. XXL eventually got them on a cover in 2010, which read: "Nicki & Drake Domination: the Rebirth of Rap Royalty" which came out in May of that year, one month removed from the 2010 Freshman class cover (which they initially wanted them on). XXL eventually admitted they dropped the ball by not having them on the 2009 cover. |

βThe Sourceβ was LITERALLY apart of the Hip-Hop lexicon in the 1990βs and 2000βs and even had an awards show for several years that all the major R&B/Rap stars would attend. π
Iβll never forget when Lilβ Kim, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and even Tupac etc. would DRAG them when they didnβt give their albums the coveted βfive micsβ rating. π
