Honestly I think the label used covid as an excuse, this single didn’t bring any attention to Sam. They should’ve released an album during Sleeping era. I’m sure the entire album will be re-recorded.

I think he will go ahead and re record the album IF there were similar songs like TDF. Yeah, the public wants a different vibe from Sam or maybe his star is starting to fade. I thought HDYS would have been massive (in the UK Especially) and it barely went top 10.

As for this song, it's flat and boring. If Sam wants to go the ballad and midtempo route, they need to release something far more inspiring. This wasn't it.

i actually really love this and am super pressed it didn't do better. granted i've always had a weak spot for Sam in general, but i've always thought their slower stuff was overhated and this song is a prime example. if Adele did this y'all would be all over it, but just because it's sung by someone with a more laid back (but still extremely emotive) delivery it's boring?

granted, even if Adele did this i don't think this would be that huge, but this deserved a bit better then the quick flameout it got. i just hope this still makes the album and they don't ditch all the slower stuff for uptempos (though i like DWAS and HDYS a lot too).
