Yeah Take What You Want was given a push (although a weak one) and reached #28 on Active Rock and #36 on Pop Radio. I think it could've done better on Active Rock if Ozzy didn't release his own singles for his upcoming album (Under The Graveyard and Straight To Hell).

‘The Box’ sounds like a mixture of Lil Baby and Gunna over a Young Thug beat. Everyone saying he has his ‘own style’ is mistaken because there’s hundreds of rappers who sound exactly like Roddy Ricch. ‘The Box’ is a decent enough song because of that beat and the catchy melody he’s singing but don’t try to act like it’s anything original and groundbreaking, because it’s not.

Why you acting like people never get influenced by artists who came before them? Let Roddy have this moment, he definetely earned it

Diamonds might not even debut at this rate. Thought it would start off a lot stronger than it has

Life is Good already has 6.56 million audience impressions. It hasn't been out for up to 48 hours.

Post just not gonna push Take What You Want I see how it is they tried. they even gave it a whole radio release date (sent to pop radio on 15 october). the song just didn't take off, probably because it got suffocated in the album bomb Releasing a video would've been helpful.

I said that the instrumental sounds like a Young Thug beat. Roddy doesn’t have the pipes or charisma to match Thug on any level which is why I said he’s like the love child of Lil Baby and Gunna who got lucky and made an interesting song out of the many he already had that are generic as hell. Also, what do you mean by ‘you people’?

Blinding Lights is growing faster on radio now and it's started to stabilize on Spotify and Apple Music. It and My Oh My will probably be top 10 hits once the videos come out

Just comparing two pop album drops here on Spotify Charts. I thought Selena would have had a better start and already it seems as if most of her tracks may fizzle out in a week or two. This is Selena's 3rd album and Harry's 2nd album, you would think Selena is more popular than Harry because of more years and hits. I realized Harry's strategy was completely different. He definitely promoted himself on several live shows and was able to tease 3 songs before the full drop. He took the spotlight almost every other day of a week leading to the album drop day. Whether if that did the trick or not in getting all his tracks in Spotify's Top 20, the evidence shows good reception. I know it may be a bit early to call out on Selena but her management team should pick up on other strategies that are possible to boost performance next time around. Streaming is not the only yardstick, her songs do fairly well on Radio, but we will see in due timing the overall reception.

Outside of The Box, I really don’t think he sounds anything like Thugger/Gunna/Lil Baby at all.
Even in The Box, I fail to see how he sounds like Gunna or Lil Baby, though Thug makes some sense with the frequent vocal changes.

J Lo “I’m Real” and R Kelly “Ignition,” though the original versions weren’t really pushed as main singles. Even though it never said remix when they charted, I Took a Pill in Ibiza, You Know You Like It, E.T. and Bad Blood come to mind. Wasn't the Cedric Gervais remix of "Summertime Sadness" the one that got promoted in radio?

Low Life should’ve been the defining song of the dark pop/trap era Low Life is alright but it's no XO Tour Llif3, which definitely deserved to be that and ended up being that. I'd say of all the premier trap songs, it goes Mo Bamba, Sicko Mode, T-Shirt, Low Life, Birthday Song, Broccoli, XO, Shoota, plus respect to No Hands and Love Sosa for not being the best but influencing and pioneering trap.

The Box just doesn't feel like a #1 to me I just can't get behind it, it's not catchy at all, the beat is so repetitive... We really need a saving grace next Friday uuh
Eeww at them sending Enemies now, of, course the time is right with Circles peaking but why not try something else? Weird.
Also seems like Dance Monkey's chances for #1 are dead?

And they've had that record for years now. Glee ended on March 20, 2015 so they've had the record for at least that long.

Holy f**k. The Box did 3.3 million and Life is Good did 2.8 million on US Spotify for the second day in a row. The former gained 45k streams and the latter only lost 30k streams. Those holds are amazing.

“GLEE” was an absolute moment, especially between 2009-2012, before it drastically fell flat.
Otherwise...
An ICONIC Global Television show that completely dominated Pop culture.
I was such a stan then.

The Box hitting #1 ...he deserves it, but is not like I play it whole day. I play Dance Monkey more because it just stands out as different right now. I don't know if Tones and I management are continuing to promote it heavily in February but I know kids love it. Yes ewwww at Enemies...a little disappointed with the choice as opposed to Take what you want. I don't see Enemies doing well. The music saving grace I await is in the form of a newbie or some current artist that takes a different style of music to liven up the charts. Haha definitely not the yummy guy, he tore up dance music to go back to his R&B album before the Purpose.

I was also a fan of Lea Michele and Alex Newell. What I liked is how they brought back pre-2000’s R&B/Soul, Rock and Broadway classics to a younger audience primarily.
