Post-grunge, I'll take Nickelback and Daughtry on the charts again over no rock at all.

Crunk from the mid-2000s. Come at me Petey deleted!
Southern hip hop. If Bubba Sparxx could make a song as good as Deliverance Iโd be all in.
Cheesy electro pop from 2009-2011. I was living!
Most mid-ops genres id be all about seeing a return of. Everything up until teen pop. That can stay gone.

This isnt listed on the options, but i would love to see late 2000s/early 2010s dance pop come back. I know most people would disagree with me but i thought that music was just so fun and catchy
If we're talking about options on rhe list. I dont really like any of them, but the AC ballads are probably the most tolerable of the options

Post-grunge for me by default, though I wouldn't mind some more traditional AC ballads as a change of pace.
I didn't much like nu-metal even when it was current, and I'm not too familiar with "snap-rap" (at least under that name), but there's enough other types of hip-hop popular now that I don't think we're missing much.

Oh, nd to finish my review of these genres. Snap rap i've never even heard of so i cant comment, but nu-metal was rhe worst. It prosuced some of the worst music we've ever seen. Luckily, i dont think music will evrr head back in that direction again

i wouldn't mind some of the good stuff from nu metal coming back. honestly, i think an updated, more trap influenced take on nu metal has potential, although i'm sure we'd get just as much crap as good stuff.

Snap rap and AC ballads are better than Grunge anyday.

I would like good, proper Dance music to make a comeback, not these derivative, watered down, partial remakes or songs that rely heavily upon an overused sample.

Dance pop is still very popular in European countries and Japan, but if we want a pretty hated genre, probably crunk. Crunk is mindless fun.

Today's hip-hop still sounds too much like snap music for my liking, so definitely not that. Wake me up when hip-hop gets back to '90s and early 2000s style production.
AC ballads? Hard pass.
Post-grunge? Maybe if it's the type of stuff that came out around 1994-97, but please no Nickelback and Creed style music.
Nu-Metal? Again, it started off promising enough, and there were a few solid later bands like System of a Down, but overall I don't like the idea of it coming back. Especially not if it's trap-influenced. *shudder*
Now, I do like the idea of dance-pop returning. It shouldn't have left as far as I'm concerned. Hair metal might be okay if it sticks to the more fun stuff, and not the stuff that sounds like a heavier version of the aforementioned AC ballad sound. But what I'd really like to see is the return of the types of novelty songs that hit the chart regularly in the '60s (and occasionally afterwards, like "Mambo No. 5" for instance). And late '60s/early '70s style bubblegum like "Sugar Sugar", "Yummy Yummy Yummy" and so forth.

Hair metal might be okay if it sticks to the more fun stuff, and not the stuff that sounds like a heavier version of the aforementioned AC ballad sound.. Artists have been pretty smart about which elements of older music to bring back and which to leave behind. For example, all of the Disco and Funk throwbacks we got in the 2010s (Get Lucky, Uptown Funk, Starboy) were great, much more along the lines of Stayin' Alive than Disco Duck (unless you count Blurred Lines, but that's awful due to the rapey lyrics). I think any Hair Metal comeback would be a lot more like You Give Love A Bad Name than any number of cheesy Hair Metal ballads (most of which are guilty pleasures).

I'll take Post Grunge followed by Hot AC Ballads, but please leave Bolton to the crickets.
