🙄 I’m tired of playing in this kiddie pool. I quit. hi. I’m sorry if you don’t agree with the judges on what the say about your songs, but the game is all about sending songs that would appeal to the judges. if you don’t want to play by that rule and find the fact that the judges disagree with you unfair and truly want to quit, then I would be very sad to see you leave as it would eliminate both yourself and your teammate after having a pretty decent run. however, it is your choice on whether or not to leave the game, and if you choose to leave no hard feelings. Mylo and I work around the clock to make this game fun for everyone, but if you’re not having a good time and truly want to leave, then I respect your choice

y’all need to learn some sarcasm.
also how are we to know that clean means upbeat? the song literally is titled clean. i just don’t understand how it didn’t get the theme points?

high key forgot to post this but here's our exit interview with Team Nameless, Leo ✔ & AmazDrag
how do you feel about your time in the race?
Leo: Too short.
Julien: It was alright, I got paired up with someone pretty cool.
do you think you could've/should've done anything different?
Leo: I agree with Julien, more current songs. We forgot this people don't tend to be kind with the good old songs. I also suggest the topics could be a little more restrictive, made them a little less obvious and predictable, let the people to dig harder and avoid the predictability
Julien: I guess I should’ve sent more current songs.
any predictions?
Leo: Pass
Julien: Tbh I hardly paid attention to the competition during all the legs.

3 for 3 baby!
1. The Caged Nooks (@doinktheclown & tanooki ) Overall Score: 70.8 Detour Rank: #6 | Roadblock Rank: #4 | Fast Forward Rank: #1 Bonus From Leg 7: +0.2 (6th Place)
Fast Forward Results:
Theme: The White Sea Tashkent is the capital city of Uzbekistan, a country that is doubly landlocked. This means the countries they’re surrounded by also have no access to the sea. This means Uzbekistan doesn’t really fit it with most other countries with sea access. For this Fast Forward, you must submit a song from a genre that’s not currently fitting in with popular music. Specifically, you must choose a country or rock song that hasn’t hit the American hot 100.
Judge's Thoughts:
Nick: that chorus man! for a non hit it’s like pretty iconic. overall I think this song is just a super strong indie rock track. I especially like the build up and release of the chorus (9.5/10)
Mylo: At first I wasn’t expecting to like this at all, but when that hook came in I was fully sold! This vocalist has a great tone and the songwriting is amazing tier here. Totally get @ cm7com ‘s love of this band after this song lol, I should maybe listen more! (9.7/10)
Luxas: My first thought is that that title is annoyingly relatable. Otherwise, I can vibe to this, although the singing in the chorus feels a bit.. unnatural sometimes? Not sure how to describe it. But the melody is pretty, it seems easy to sing along to, and a good song to put up when you want to chill. I do feel like I just enjoy everything, but I have to decide which one of the two I prefer, hm. I think I prefer Miranda's song for the energy, and what to me is a more unique sound. I enjoy this, but after all it seems less memorable, so I will give this a ... 7.2/10!
Bboat: This song is very easy to listen to. It grabbed my attention right from the beginning with that beautiful piano riff, and then hooked me even more when the full band suddenly came in and it turned out to be more of a mid tempo song. The melody is so breezy and also kinda evokes feelings of mournfulness, which is perfect for the subject matter of the song. On top of that, the lyrics are quite picturesque! The details in the verses really paint a beautiful picture. Where it loses me a tad is that the chorus is quite repetitive, the enunciation is not that great in places, and the song doesn't really have much of a build to it, so I feel like it might get monotonous pretty quickly if I was to try to listen to it on repeat. However, on an objective first listen, this is a very quality song! (8/10)
Overall: 34.4
Detour Results:
(Flop Pity)
Judge's Thoughts:
Nick: this is pretty nice. not sure I’ve heard it before but it’s a solid enough dance pop track. though it wasn’t a single in the States, it didn’t do too hot even where it was a single, so you won’t be docked too many points for theme (also we didn't say that it had to be a US single haha). (6 for quality, 2 for theme = 8/10)
Mylo: My love for this song has no limits lol, easily one of my favourites from Gaga. The production is excellent and the vocals are transcendent! Theme-wise is questionable lol. Obviously, this song was not pushed as a single in the US so straight away it’s questionable. I guess its overseas success wasn’t huge either anyway, so I can give you some points? But this really isn’t what I’d consider a flop lol. (7 for quality, 1.5 for theme, 8.5/10)
Julien: Lady Gaga was one of my favorite artists and unfortunately this song is one of my least favorite in her entire catalogue. It was never a single and fortunately Gaga herself choose Alejandro over this. (2/7 for song 1/3 for category = 3/10)
Overall: 19.5
Roadblock Results:
(Sent by Tanooki)
Judge's Thoughts:
Nick: for a while I considered this my favorite song ever lol. I no longer hold that opinion but it’s still definitely up there. I don’t really know how to describe it, every element of this time is just immaculate (10/10)
Mylo: Taylor fan confession: I used to not like this song much at all. It along with Love Story always represented her weakest singles for me, but I’ve come around… to this song at least. That hook is undeniable and I love the lyrics despite the obvious cattiness presented lol. Nice choice! (8.7/10)
Fearless: Hi again, I judged this song in Last Stand too so I was lowkey tempted to copy and paste my review, lol. I’ve loved this song for over 10 years, my opinion on this song won’t change in a matter of a couple of weeks so I’ll keep this short and if you want to see my commentary on the song, please refer to Last Stand Season 1. (9.9/10)
Leo: I guess I don't enjoy this song as I used to do, still a good country pop tune. (7.5/10)
Overall: 36.1
This is your third win from a Fast Forward, but this leg also contained the final Fast Forward of the game, so time will tell if you're able to keep up a steady game after that. However, you will be getting a +3 bonus next round to help you out

Those slimy cockroaches survive another leg:
Overall Score: 66.2 Roadblock Rank: #3 | Detour Rank: #1 Bonus from Leg 2: 1.5 (1st place)
Detour Results:
(Flop Pity)
Judges' Thoughts:
Nick: jam! high key still bitter this wasn’t like the biggest hit from 1989 as it’s easily one of the best off the album. 7 for quality, 3 for theme = 10/10
Mylo: Top tier on 1989, and a single that thoroughly deserved better. That hook sells it, love the lyrics and the melody pushes forward cementing the songs impact. Probably the best mix between quality and floppage on this detour, nice work! (6.5 for quality, 2.7 for theme, 9.2 overall)
Julien: This was my favorite deluxe track from that era and was a great uptempo for her. It had the unfortunate luck of being later in the era which hurt it’s performance a single. (6/7 for song, 3/3 for category= 9/10)
Overall: 28.2
Roadblock Results:
(Sent by Samo)
Judges' Thoughts:
Nick: jam! this song is everything I love about pop music encapsulated. it’s absolutely one of the best songs of the 2010s and honestly deserved more attention than I think it gets. superb track 10/10
Mylo: Kesha! Arguably her most polished record, this is a slice of pop cheese that I can’t deny! I wish songs like Blow or Blah Blah Blah could’ve hit the top 3 instead of this to be honest though, this is good but maybe not pushing great. (8.5/10)
Fearless: Ok, this is up there with “Praying” as my favorite Kesha song. They’re polar opposites but I think they show different sides of Kesha; the really fun side that knows how to let go and the more serious and vulnerable side. The presence of the guitar riffs are what differentiates this song from the previous Kesha smashes imo - it just also vibes with me melodically too, the whole song is just so damn catchy!!
Leo: I still loving this song and the run of this was unfortunately cut bcs the horrible incident.
Overall: 36.5
Would've been #1 if not for the FF, well done again guys! Enjoy two extra points and your third top 2 finish~

after placing in 5th for three straight legs, it looks like someone decided to return to the top 33. Team Jeff (singingrulebritannia & jamesflame)Overall Score: 65.4Detour Rank: #3 | Roadblock Rank: #1Bonus From Leg 7: +0.4 (5th Place)Detour Results:(Rich City)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: it’s definitely about money haha. I also think the song is pretty good. it’s all nice and jazzy, with the horns being an especially nice touch. very solid pick (6.5 for quality, 3 for theme = 9.5/10)Mylo: Fun fact: this was a hit over here in Australia! And a good hit it was, love this! Strong piano line and calm but effective delivery combines for a pretty decent sounding song. Also very obviously about money haha (6.2 for quality, 3 for theme, 9.3/10)Julien: Interesting choice. As a song it has a nice groove and his voice is pleasant is easy on the ears. The songs fits the category well. (5.5/7 for song, 2.5/3 for theme = 8/10)
Overall: 26.8 Roadblock Results:(Sent by Gates)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: damn when this song goes off it goes OFF. the first bit is okay but once she holds that note and the groove kicks in it’s a total jam. unsure if I’ve heard this before but it’s a pretty great song (9.5/10)
Mylo: This is groovy as! I really need to hear more pre 2000’s work, most of the songs sent from the last millennia have been solid as so far! This is no different at all, a smart concise tune that has a real sense of control. Interesting and smart pick! (9.2/10)
Fearless: This sticks out like a sore thumb in this list full of 21st century hits (now that I think about it, if I were playing this game I might’ve sent something like “Dancing in the Dark” for this… it is indeed one of my favorite Hot 100 #2 hits), but definitely not in a bad way. This song starts off slow and then turns into a disco-pop jam. Not the favorite Donna Summer song I’ve heard since “Hot Stuff” exists (and it’s REALLY hard to top that one since I adore that song) but it’s still very solid. I usually do background research (aka Wikipedia reading) on songs when I judge, but the “According to Billboard, this song is about sex.” sentence got me (9.5/10)
Leo: Props for the people who send this, something you won't expect, an outstanding song between the basic choices of this set. Hoping this wins the round. (10/10)
Overall: 38.2
not quite a win, but pretty damn close considering you guys had the highest raw score this week (highest score with no bonuses applied). you'll get a +1.5 bonus next round

Yes that's right, MoD and District ARE out of the top 3!4. Team 😎s (MoD & DistrictTwelve )Overall Score: 65.1Detour Rank: #2 | Roadblock Rank: #2Bonus From Leg 7: +0.8 (3rd Place)Detour Results:(Flop Pity)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: someone knows me lol. I love Charlie Puth, and I think this song is probably among my favorites from him. everything about it is just so damn perfect. I’d say this didn’t flop as hard as I’d expect for this theme, but still it was a flop haha. 7 for quality, 2 for theme = 9/10Mylo: Great song, and importantly one that didn’t do as well as I (or most of Pulse) hoped it would. I definitely think this deserved to be a hit over How Long! Nice pick~ (6.7 for quality, 2.2 for theme, 8.9 overall)Julien: Charlie is one of the more consistent male vocalists of this past decade and this song is a great example for this category. As a song it’s very groovy and is one of my personal favourites from him. 6.5/7 for song 3/3 for category = 9.5/10
Overall: 27.4 Roadblock Results:(Sent by District)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: slick production on this one. don’t totally love the way Ellie sounds on the verses but that chorus is just iconic man. I find it a bit overrated but hey it’s still really good. not sure I had quite realized this was a #2 hit, go figure 7.5/10
Mylo: Another obvious pick but one that I have no shame in ranking very high. It’s quite simply an excellent song that hasn’t aged a bit for me! My favourite part is definitely that killer instrumental, but the lyrics and vocals are of very high quality too. (10/10)
Fearless: One of the best pop songs of 2010s imo. I actually just mentioned this in the new Ellie Goulding song thread but her first two eras was where she really was at her best. She had this sound that was immediately recognizable, and the output was very high quality as well. This song also brings back memories of rooting for this song ever since it started getting played on pop radio and rejoicing when it became a big hit in the US. This used to be a 10/10 for me, but it wore off of me just a tiny bit. I still love love love this song though!
Leo: This is one of the best Ellie songs has on her carrer, and to date I'm still surprised this hit that big on USA. For once US not lacking of taste. (9.7/10)
Overall: 36.9
You guys still did very well this round, but were muscled out of that exciting top 3. There's always next time, but this downwards trend is scary guys! 1 point for next time, use it wisely.

a slight setback this week but you two have recovered from much worse in the past5. The Sickos (@drakeisskinny & Mayman )Overall Score: 55.85Detour Rank: #5 | Roadblock Rank: #6Bonus From Last Leg: +0.6 (4th Place)Detour Results:(Flop Pity)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: eh not a huge fan. I’ve just never found this song to be particularly interesting. though full points for theme if that’s any consolation. (3.5 for quality, 3 for theme = 6.5/10)Mylo: Creepy time lol. I do definitely like this song somewhat but if this was by a creepy guy I guarantee I’d hate this haha. Selena luckily has a natural innocence that lets her sing over this production without it being overstepping. I do appreciate releasing this though, it’s not a typical move and it was nice to try something new. Theme-wise totally works! (4.8 for quality, 3 for theme, 7.8/10)Julien: Now this was different for her at the time. It had a more sexual undertone to it but is one of my favorites from her. The production is orgasmic,. (6.75/7 for song, 3/3 for category = 9.75/10)Overall: 24.05Roadblock Results:(Sent by Mayman)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: this is good and all I guess. opposed to what many think, I personally think it’s not some sort of godly tune but I think it’s pretty fun for what it is all things considered. (7/10)
Mylo: A pulse favourite, this song is pretty good. It has worn on me a bit though, I prefer cuts like “Side to Side” and “Greedy” from that album. It’s also definitely a predictable pick lol, but it got there for a reason! (9/10)
Fearless: So the only song that was from a #2 Billboard 200 peaking album so I guess I should give some props for that. Unfortunately “Into You” is my least favorite single from Dangerous Woman aside from "Everyday" that flop that should never have been released as a single when there was “Greedy”, “Touch It”, and “Bad Decisions”. I’ve always found the song to be overrated no matter how much of a bop and gay modern classic people find it to be. Ok I should say something positive about this song - it has a killer bassline imo and the production is great here. (8.2/10)
Leo: Great song, but I'm punishing for being too obvious, I'm tired of the predictability of this game. (7/10)
Overall: 31.2
you may be in the bottom three this time, but you've already survived being 0.2 away from elimination the first round AND the yield vote, so I wouldn't be too worried if I were you. +0.5 bonus next round
