Yes. Awards shows always cause spikes in streaming and digital sales. Not to mention the winners usually see spikes as well, particularly the Album of the Year winner. Plus there's always the chance for a performance or other moment to go viral.

Yep. It's an interesting meme too. The song just got super lucky because the meme is people recapping different things of 2019. Apparently some girl made a video where she said "2019 rewind" at the beginning and this song was used in her video. It went viral and people started using her audio to make similar "2019 rewind" videos. That girl could have used literally any song after she said "2019 rewind," but for some reason this is what she chose and the song will likely be a hit because of it. The meme doesn't seem to be super huge right now, but who knows how much it will blow up.

There are 415.6k videos using the soundbit right now. Compare that to tracks like "My Oh My" with 2.4 million, "Say So" with 10.9 million, or "Falling" with 4.9 million.

Listening to Sunday Best...and I'm not impressed. Surfaces sounds like if Rex Orange County fronted Sugar Ray and the song just has this same smug vibe as The Lazy Song - a song that, let me remind you, not even Bruno Mars likes.

Honestly, really like the new Megan Thee Stallion. Been lukewarm to most her hits with the exception of Hot Girl Summer but I really love the production here. Reminds me a lot of INTRO by DaBaby and that's a great thing.

Also while I Like the song, does anyone else thinks the beat for Boss Bitch sounds like what a club song would sound like in 2012? Synths and bass reminds me a lot of Pinkprint - Nicki

Actually, it is one of the songs that was played on Sunday NFL Countdown on ESPN, so it's been out since at least the beginning of the NFL season in September. I am surprised that it has taken this long for this song to take off.
