i’ve said since it was still not even in the top 10 that The Box would be #1 for at least 8 weeks, but the fact that the m/v isn’t even out yet gives me the thought that it could spend maybe 10+ weeks. like damn. it’s barely fading at this point

In addition to this, Music to be Murdered By has returned to #1 in iTunes:
2/10/2020 by Keith Caulfield
Plus: Gains for all 5 best original song nominees & other tunes performed during Sunday's Academy Awards.
Eminem’s surprise performance of “Lose Yourself” at the Academy Awards on Sunday night spurred a big sales gain for the former No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 single, according to initial sales reports to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
On Feb. 9, the track sold 4,000 downloads in the U.S., up a whopping 1,894% as compared to the negligible figure it sold Feb. 8. In total, Eminem’s entire catalog of songs -- again, according to initial sales reports -- sold a combined 7,000 downloads on Feb. 9, up 307% as compared to the nearly 2,000 sold on Feb. 8.
“Lose Yourself,” from the film 8 Mile, won the 2002 Academy Award for best original song at the March 23, 2003, Oscars for the song’s three writers: Eminem, Jeff Bass and Luis Resto. However, Eminem and Bass were not present at the ceremony to accept their Oscars. After his “Lose Yourself” performance on Sunday, Eminem tweeted a message, referencing the lyrics of “Lose Yourself”: “Look, if you had another shot, another opportunity… Thanks for having me @theacademy. Sorry it took me 18 years to get here.”
Best Song Nominees Gain: All five of this year’s nominees for best original song were showcased with a performance on the Oscars, including eventual winner “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again),” performed by Elton John.
Combined, the five nominees (“I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away,” “I’m Standing With You,” “Into the Unknown,” “Love Me Again” and “Stand Up”) sold 5,000 downloads on Sunday -- up 423% versus the 1,000 they sold on Saturday.
The biggest seller of the five nominees on Sunday wasn’t the winning tune (which was actually the third-biggest seller of the five), but Cynthia Erivo’s “Stand Up,” which sold 2,000 downloads, for a gain of 1,043% (up from a negligible sum on Saturday). Chrissy Metz’s “I’m Standing With You” was the second-biggest seller, moving 1,000 downloads, for an increase of 2,563% (up from a negligible sum).
Mister Rogers, The Beatles and Janelle Monae, too! Aside from the surprise “Lose Yourself” performance, and the performances of the five best original song nominees, there were also a number of other familiar tunes that earned a performance moment on the Oscars this year. Billie Eilish and Finneas performed The Beatles’ “Yesterday” during the In Memoriam tribute segment. Janelle Monae and Billy Porter opened the show with a medley that included Monae’s “Come Alive (The War of the Roses),” “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” (from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood) and John’s “I’m Still Standing.”
Collectively, those songs sold a negligible sum on Sunday, but did post a combined sales gain of 123%.
A Tuneful Increase: In total, all the songs noted above (“Lose Yourself,” the five best original song nominees, and the additional tunes by Monae and others) sold nearly 10,000 downloads on Feb. 9, up 654% from the slightly more than 1,000 sold on Feb. 8.

I'm pretty sure that The Box will be the Year-End #1. eh circles is still a bit ahead and considering post malone's longevity the box can be blocked Eh. According to tanooki's predictions, Circles is only 700 points ahead of The Box now. The Box is getting like 200 more points every week than Circles is. Unless Circles has MASSIVE longevity (aka breaking the top 10 record by a lot), I can't see it being ahead of The Box on the YE.

I'm surprised how well Intentions did so well for first-day streams. I thought we had all left all pop songs featuring Quavo back in 2017, and had collectively moved on to recognizing Offset as the best member for both features and verses.

Good regain for Intentions. Could see it debuting in the lower half of the top 10 and maybe sticking around, unlike Yummy.

I'm so glad streaming is giving "Don't Start Now" the final push it deserves. Rooting for Dua Lipa to crack the top 5 anytime soon.

It's been on the top of streaming for about a month now. Jesus... you guys need to stop. It's not like every song is more popular on Mondays. Old Town Road, Despacito, The Box and other songs are simply different. They usually gain streams on Saturdays when most songs lose and they lose on Mondays when most songs are gaining.

I think will be around #40-#45 in Radio Songs next week if it continues to lose at its current rate.

Y'know if Joji and BROCKHAMPTON are able to get charting songs due to amassing a large cult fanbase, it's only a matter of time before other beloved acts finally make their way onto the Hot 100. I wouldn't be surprised if Tame Impala finally get a hit with Lost in Yesterday poppy finally gonna bring back metal to the hot 100

"Don't Start Now" is definitely coming to outpeak "New Rules"! 😍
Otherwise, that top 4 hasn't moved in ages...and even if I adore "Circles", this is starting to get real bleak. Hopefully "Memories" falls down to give space to "Dance Monkey", and "Life Is Good" starts to lose some momentum.

I’m honestly tending to believe that yummy was a troll song and something like intentions was supposed to be the true lead single but scooter prob told him to release the former as a lead single for some reason

probably the start of it's steady decline.
I agree. It has only lost 0.3% of its weekly streaming on the 7 day rolling total. Such day to day fluctuations are the norm and the focus should be the weekly total of streams, unless there's a clear trend of a song gaining or losing daily streams.
