I wouldn't bet my money on it, but considering that Billy Ray Cyrus and Snow both had hits last year, I can't be totally sure of it.

No - period, in any format.
At the time of her hit, a few things: She was old then -- 39 at the time. Even then singing not her primary passion - to date only recorded two albums. The hit was aided by MTV, a new phenomenon at the time. The only video channel around at the time. Today there are lots of ways to watch videos, so no longer new.
Today would be 76 years old and an unknown to many(Her hit was 37 years ago)
