Rooting for Death Bed. It's about time bedroom pop finally impacted the Hot 100 though I'm surprised it's not from the bigger acts like Clairo, Rex Orange County, beabadobee, Cuco or even mxmtoon.

Can somebody explain to me how callouts on for example pop are even needed? Shouldn't streams and sales be giving enough of an indication of what people like to hear? Callouts seem pointless to me idk

Callouts seem pointless to me idk Different audiences. It's why the random Jonas Brothers or Maroon 5 becomes a hit thanks to radio, while "Life Is Good" is only #50 on the Pop chart. |

Stir Fry and Pure Water are the only singles they've put out since Culture that have sounded unique and not like an inferior attempt to recreate the magic of Culture. This was a good opportunity for them to course correct and reestablish themselves, but it looks like instead they're just doubling down on a sound that everyone else has moved on from. |

This is a fantastic video and it makes me like the song a lot more I'll admit, the song has grown on me a little - I see the appeal now - but I still think the instrumental and production isn't as chaotic or wild as the noisy hip-hop I like. Not to mention, the blatant homophobic slur towards James Charles certainly isn't helping it feel less immature. |
