Say So is coming for blood. It was placed at the very top of TTH, its finally getting big radio impressions and its music video is coming out soon. Itunes and Apple might increase as it gets bigger on radio

Even though I’m glad Bad Guy went number 1, in my opinion i think billboard just said f*ck it give the girl the number 1 because it was so random and no one predicted it to go number 1 that week. And if i remember correctly (don’t quote me cuz it was a while ago) but i think fhas calculated the points and senorita or OTR was still ahead Bad Guy was ahead of Senorita in Streaming as they released a vertical video and also perhaps the cassette single sales likely pushed it a few more points ahead to hit #1 OTR was way down in airplay to stay at #1 www.billboard.com/articles/business/chart-beat/8527749/billie-eilish-bad-guy-number-one-hot-100

A disco song in the top5 I love it Back in 1979 they tried to "demolish" disco but they clearly couldn't do it, 40 years later and it's still going on thru dance music and more.

Remember when new rules dropped out of the charts because of drake back in 2018 Ahh memories.. Come to think of it, that might be where a lot of that Drake hatred began. Here's hoping he has an album bomb this year similar to the one he had in 2018 so all his haters can seethe.

DRAKE doesn't need a mansion because he's living in y'alls minds RENT-FREE
I'm exhausted by the sheer amount of "Drake is still strong" "Drake will have 10 songs in the top 10" "Drake will suck my c*ck" conversation
Let the man drop his new allegedly "shorter than Scorpion, more condensed" album and then we'll talk

Honestly his last three albums would of been really great if the man learned how to cut tracks, Scorpion would of been amazing if it was like 10 tracks instead of 20. But that's how people game streaming, that's why we get stuck with long bloated records like Culture II. There's no love involved.
Drake is a great artist and I'm really excited for this next record to be shorter, he wastes his potential with all the filler tracks.

I wonder why Lil Mosey is one of the few non-A Lister Hip Hop artists that basically always does better on Spotify than AM

Take Care has 20 songs, So Far Gone has 18, If Youre Reading This Its Too Late originally had 19. even the project he describes as his most "consise and cohesive" Nothing Was The Same originally had 16 songs. anyway seeing as Scorpion was a "double album" both sides are technically his shortest albums with Side A having 12 and Side B having 13

Rap artists in general tend to drop long as hell albums that could stand a good trimming (there are exceptions but I can't think of many). At least Drake doesn't also waste my time with interludes.

Drake is a great artist and I'm really excited for this next record to be shorter, he wastes his potential with all the filler tracks. In an interview, he said he always intended for Scorpion to be a double album. It was always going to be long. He's the biggest streaming artist in the US and worldwide. He doesn't need to make long albums to "game" anything. He's also always made long projects. He's a breakdown of the number of tracks on every project he's released since 2006. Room for Improvement (Mixtape) [2006] - 23 songs. Comeback Season (Mixtape) [2007] - 23 songs. So Far Gone (Mixtape) [2009] - 18 songs. Thank Me Later (Album) [2010] - 14 songs. Take Care (Album) [2011] - 20 songs Nothing Was the Same (Album) [2013] - 15 songs. If You're Reading This It's Too Late (Mixtape) [2015] - 17 songs/19 songs (physical versions). What a Time to Be Alive (Mixtape) [2015] - 11 songs. Views (Album) [2016] - 20 songs. More Life (Playlist) [2017] - 22 songs. Scorpion (Double Album) [2018] - 25 songs. Care Package (Compilation Album) [2019] - 17 songs. He averages 19 songs per project.

(Flashback to Idol fandom days - this is not a new practice at all, it's just the fandom equivalent of purchasing multiple copies and gifting them to friends or family.) Things like that rarely impact the charts because there aren't enough people able or willing to buy extra copies for another person, and frankly not that many people willing to openly admit they can't afford to buy one album on their own.

BTS is a very fascinating group to study. Everything about them from their rabid fanbase to their massive commercial success is fascinating. It just sucks that I can't get into their music.

I don’t even care about Drake’s total domination I’m just annoyed at his promo choices. He had enough power going into Scorpion for literally any single to be a hit, and he picks God’s Plan?
Imagine if he released Nice For What (or even In My Feelings) first, and that became the defining song of 2018 and the one that made the decade-end list.

As at when God's Plan was released, he hadn't yet made Nice for What and In My Feelings.

Well if it is any consolation, odds of Drake being as dominant in the next decade end list are smaller

Even though I like Nice For What 1) the song wasn't made yet and 2) I highly doubt it would've gotten the ball rolling like God's Plan did. God's Plan had people talking from the video to the line "She say "do you love me"? I tell her "Only Partly", I only love my bed and my momma I'm sorry...".

Even if he just never promoted God's Plan and released Nice For What first, or if he theoretically made it in January 2018 in some alternate timeline, there would have been a lot to talk about. The video for NFW was also great since it looked really good and had some cool representation that wasn't ham-fisted. And Drake has memeable lines in all of his songs so I wouldn't worry about that.

Only on Pulse we go from discussing the 03/07/2020 chart week to scolding people for mimicking the YouTube comment section to having a lengthy debate about the role of radio in today's music landscape to acting as if this was a Drake Artist Discussion thread.
Keep being iconic, dahlings. That's why I love this site so much 😄

I don't know what you're talking about, this was clearly a 7-page discussion about the hit single 'Sunday Best' by Surfaces

I agree there still would've been a lot about the lyrics to the video.Looking back God's Plan was good single to start off(granted I wasn't much of a God's Plan fan ) with and either way he had 3 #1's off that album so it all worked out in the end.

Keep rising, "Adore You" and "You Should Be Sad"! 😍
Also, it seems that "South Of The Border" wasn't the late-era radio-driven sleeper hit some of us were expecting it to be (myself, at least). I don't mind, personally, as I never cared much for that song. "Cross Me" and "Antisocial" were the real missed hits of the album.
