This is a solid album. It sets a great mood. "Mea Culpa", "The Principles Of Lust", "Sadeness Part 1", and "Callas Went Away" are my favorites. Sandra's spoken vocals and mesmerizing and sensual. They had some good work on future records but this was just so cohesive sonically speaking.
"Return To Innocence" from their 2nd album was my introduction to them. I picked up this album after I heard most of "Mea Culpa" and "Sadeness Part 1" used in a Siegfried & Roy magic special and the guy at the store said the singles for both of those are no longer in print (the album had been out for 5+ years) but they had the album. I didn't know what to expect with the album but I ended up really enjoying. I recognized the drum loops in "Sadness Part 1" and "Back To The Rivers Of Belief" from Soul II Soul's "Keep On Movin'".
