Pulse: how is The Bones top 20, is only for radio, radio needs to be weighted down Also Pulse: we need Circles to hold the #1 on radio to break the top 10 record. Shut the f**k up already. No it needs to be 2% radio 1% digital 97% streaming because nobody (except like 70% of the population) listens to radio. All seriousness though, this post is very legit. still too much radio

Is “Life Is Good” too strong for DSN to overtake? I already know that “The Box” is.

With digital downloads attached to a physical single, the downloads count for that release week and are applied to the digital sales chart. The physical sales, inturn, do not get added later on, as it's all one sale (digital download/physical copy).

Fun fact: This week 10 years ago Drake was also featured on the #2 single on Hot 100 with "BedRock". Now he's currently at #2 again with "Life is Good". Gaga is also #5 on Hot 100 this week, and this week 10 years ago.

I know it won't last, but I'm just glad Gaga has another top 5 under her belt. She'll have another chance to make something stick when she releases the next single with Ariana Grande.

Candy Shop really cockblocked Boulevard Of Broken Dreams 💀.I like both songs but man people must've been mad when that happened. Deservedly so. Overall, “Candy Shop” was bigger as a song in every metric. It sold 50K Digital units that week (and did so for the next several weeks), the most downloads sold in a single week at the time, and would surpass Mario’s “Let Me Love You” the following week to be the number one airplay song in the U.S with 145M AI. At the time, near then end of “Candy Shop’s” run, I personally thought “BOBD” was going to leapfrog to #1 over “Hate It Or Love It” but then “Hollaback Girl” flew in. Boulevard of Broken Dreams outranked Candy Shop on the 2005 year end chart despite Candy Shop blocking it (and Since U Been Gone also lol)

Interesting that Lil Baby had the tenth best streaming debut for an album and yet none of the tracks reached top ten on Hot 100. Just shows how much streaming has grown in recent times across the board and those kind of debuts are not a big deal any more for Hot 100.

Don't Start Now top 3! Blinding Lights new peak! The Box will enter the 10 weeks at #1 club it seems, Life is Good blocked for 8 weeks now.
Stupid Love debuts at #5 but I saw many predictions placing it at #3 and even some people said #2, what happened there?

She only sold ~7k physicals, when previously leads like Heartless, Yummy, On, etc. have sold 40k-55k of them. Physicals make predictions practically impossible to make accurately when sales have so much weight.

Great week !!!!!! I'm so so so happy that the ICONIC "Don't Start Now" is a certified top 3 SMASHER! Dua deserves the success so much! I'm still holding out hope that she can somehow sneak a week in at #1, but I'm still beyond happy at how far this song has come :)
Also #5 is a fantastic debut for Gaga!!! I'm so happy to see that her star power is still there (haters can't even say that the song is a streaming flop considering it opened at #9 on streaming songs) and it's shaping up to be a big radio hit for her! I remember back in 2016, when "Perfect Illusion" debuted at #15, and I was nervous that I would never see Gaga top 10 again. Since then she managed to pull 3 top 10s!! MY QUEEN!
The inevitably annoying Lil Uzi bomb next week is going to be overwhelming.... but I have faith that we'll survive.

I guess that means that Only Human, I Don't Care, Sucker, Highest in the Room and Trampoline went or returned to recurrency. Bad Guy survived this week but can it survive next week's Lil Uzi Vert's album bomb?
