I literally don't understand the purpose of posting billboard charts anywhere else, if i made a separate thread then whats the point of this thread? "hey lets discuss what we think is gonna happen with this one chart and then when it comes out post it somewhere else" lmao Separate threads are possible, but there'd be too many to go through. How many threads are actually needed? This is the Hot 100 thread. How many of the dozens of charts out there actually pertain to the hot 100? Also are people really interested in viewing every single chart? Do they get discussed? How many care for example, what was #1 on country digital sales last week?

It would be easier on everyone if you did It would be easier on literally no one because posting them here doesn't make reading them difficult to begin with. Don't want to read them? Don't. It's literally that simple. There are plenty of posts here that aren't relevant to the chart at all, but we're going to complain about the actual chart related ones? Make it make sense. Literally all of them posted here (except for the artist ones) pertain to the Hot 100 because they use the exact same data and therefore showcase different components of the things we're supposed to be discussing in here.

Not sure ALL of the charts posted are relevant to the Hot 100 but whatever --- Christian Airplay for instance would barely have any impact. We can do it both ways Those who wish to wade through 30 pages of discussion and 100+ charts to find what they are looking for can look here. I will parse out the most discussed charts and put them in a separate thread

But why do people have problem with the chart posting. Tanooki only posts them after the charting week has concluded and there is not really much discussion to be had about that week, you should move to the next week discussion thread. What are you all doing in this discussion thread when it is 11-March (Wednesday)? ?

The charts only get released when the chart week is concluded.
The 25 pages of discussion leading up to that is about daily streaming updates, daily radio updates and predictions.
Once the chart is revealed that's it for some but others like to read the results

stop complaining about scrolling through 27 pages it'd be 25 with just the major charts and other discussions and 24 if y'all shut the hell up about this it's not that big of a problem

Another one for Pulse Bingo - the post-chart week discussions about whether or not Tanooki should post the genre charts on this thread. 😄
I'm with the folks who said it perfectly caps off the chart week - not to mention they're quite interesting in their own right, especially the perennial tragedy of the Hot Rock Songs charts.

HOT 100 RECURRENTS The week of March 14, 2020 TW LW 2W WOC Title Artist ( Peak ) Imprint | label 1 Re-Entry 6 Sucker - Jonas Brothers ( 1 ) Republic 2 NEW 1 HIGHEST IN THE ROOM - Travis Scott ( 2 ) Cactus Jack 3 Re-Entry 4 I Don't Care - Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber ( 3 ) Atlantic, SchoolBoy, Raymond Braun 4 NEW 1 Trampoline - SHAED ( 4 ) Photo Finish 5 Re-Entry 2 Only Human - Jonas Brothers ( 5 ) Republic Probably the first time the top 5 are new or re-entries only. Also, three re-entries in the top 5 should be a record for this chart. Two things here - one --- this chart gets overrun once a year with Christmas songs which then quickly exit after the season Two - The week after the legendary MJ died, the top 19 were all either new or recurrent. This event likely lead to the rule revision which allowed older songs to reenter

Yes - I mentioned that --- also had an impact on albums and the end of the Comprehensive chart --- For only the second time to that point an album (in this case 'Number Ones") that sold the most copies was not #1. Current Pulse Hot 100 Threads Bingo Card
- Is Adele and/or Rihanna going to release something? - Raving about the trap-rock masterpiece that is "Take What You Want" (which left the charts a month ago) - Off-topic discussion of a random topic (ranging from 'who's a legacy act?' to Lionel Richie album bombs to racism) - "The Box" got a bad update today, iT's FiNaLlY dYiNg - "Blinding Lights" to #1 - "Don't Start Now" to #1 - Where's the Spotify update? - Talk about the random Tik Tok hit that's doing well on streaming - Random discussion about radio and how it's weighted too heavily on the charts + counterarguments - Can we get rid of "Memories"/"Someone You Loved"/any radio-driven hit not called "Circles"? - Statements about the hypocrisy of radio haters when airplay benefits the songs they like - "Circles" is a terrible song (which is an utter lie, by the way) - Predictions! The good, the bad, and the dirty 😃 - Album bomb talk! - Drake fans obsessing over his impact - Where are the charts? - *insert relevant artist of the week* is holding the Billboard HQ hostage - Raving about "Don't Start Now", "Blinding Lights", and "hot girl bummer" rising on the charts - Tanooki posts the all-encompassing charts for all poor souls who cannot access them anymore - People complain that the genre charts should be on a separate thread and take up space + counterarguments
- Rinse and repeat 😉

The easiest solution would be not posting the charts on Pulse at all and everyone get Billboard subscriptions.
You're welcome

I think a simple solution would be to just put these charts in a spoiler. People can click to see them if interested, scroll past without having to see it go on for multiple pages if not. Example... {Hot Country Songs} HOT COUNTRY SONGS The week of March 14, 2020 TW LW 2W WOC Title Artist ( Peak ) Imprint | label 1 2 2 53 The Bones - Maren Morris ( 1 ) Columbia Nashville 2 1 1 23 10,000 Hours - Dan + Shay & Justin Bieber ( 1 ) Warner Music Nashville 3 4 5 50 Homesick - Kane Brown ( 3 ) Zone 4 4 3 3 22 Kinfolks - Sam Hunt ( 3 ) MCA Nashville 5 5 4 49 One Man Band - Old Dominion ( 2 ) RCA Nashville 6 6 6 45 I Hope - Gabby Barrett ( 6 ) Warner Music Nashville 7 10 10 12 Nobody But You - Blake Shelton Duet With Gwen Stefani ( 6 ) Warner Music Nashville 8 14 18 25 Homemade - Jake Owen ( 8 ) Big Loud 9 11 16 29 Chasin' You - Morgan Wallen ( 9 ) Big Loud 10 9 11 20 What She Wants Tonight - Luke Bryan ( 9 ) Capitol Nashville 11 15 17 33 Slow Dance In A Parking Lot - Jordan Davis ( 11 ) MCA Nashville 12 13 15 35 More Hearts Than Mine - Ingrid Andress ( 12 ) Atlantic, Warner Music Nashville 13 8 14 26 We Back - Jason Aldean ( 8 ) Macon 14 12 13 31 I Wish Grandpas Never Died - Riley Green ( 12 ) BMLG 15 18 19 36 Catch - Brett Young ( 15 ) BMLG 16 16 12 21 I Hope You're Happy Now - Carly Pearce & Lee Brice ( 12 ) Curb, Big Machine 17 20 22 8 Does To Me - Luke Combs Featuring Eric Church ( 17 ) River House 18 19 20 26 homecoming queen? - Kelsea Ballerini ( 14 ) Black River 19 21 23 10 Beer Can't Fix - Thomas Rhett Featuring Jon Pardi ( 19 ) Valory 20 23 24 21 After A Few - Travis Denning ( 20 ) Mercury 21 NEW 1 God Whispered Your Name - Keith Urban ( 21 ) Hit Red 22 25 25 17 Better Together - Luke Combs ( 14 ) River House 23 24 26 17 Blessings - Florida Georgia Line ( 23 ) BMLG 24 22 -- 2 Here And Now - Kenny Chesney ( 22 ) Blue Chair, Warner Music Nashville 25 26 27 27 Lonely If You Are - Chase Rice ( 25 ) Dack Janiels 26 27 30 14 Bluebird - Miranda Lambert ( 26 ) Vanner 27 29 31 33 Die From A Broken Heart - Maddie & Tae ( 27 ) Mercury 28 28 28 16 Monsters - Eric Church ( 28 ) EMI Nashville 29 30 29 18 In Between - Scotty McCreery ( 27 ) Triple Tigers 30 31 33 24 Drowning - Chris Young ( 18 ) RCA Nashville 31 NEW 1 Gaslighter - Dixie Chicks ( 31 ) Columbia 32 32 32 19 Her World Or Mine - Michael Ray ( 31 ) Warner Music Nashville 33 34 35 17 Drinking Alone - Carrie Underwood ( 33 ) Capitol Nashville 34 33 34 10 One Beer - HARDY Featuring Lauren Alaina & Devin Dawson ( 33 ) Tree Vibez 35 36 43 4 My Truck - Breland ( 35 ) Bad Realm 36 35 38 10 One Night Standards - Ashley McBryde ( 35 ) Atlantic, Warner Music Nashville 37 38 40 12 One Big Country Song - LOCASH ( 36 ) Wheelhouse 38 40 39 14 What Could've Been - Gone West ( 38 ) Triple Tigers 39 37 37 21 Big, Big Plans - Chris Lane ( 33 ) Big Loud 40 43 48 5 Why We Drink - Justin Moore ( 40 ) Valory 41 41 41 18 Cover Me Up - Morgan Wallen ( 35 ) Big Loud 42 39 -- 4 Getting Good - Lauren Alaina ( 39 ) 19 43 42 50 5 Famous - Adam Doleac ( 42 ) Arista Nashville 44 45 45 3 Just The Way - Parmalee x Blanco Brown ( 44 ) Stoney Creek 45 46 42 4 Hard To Forget - Sam Hunt ( 41 ) MCA Nashville 46 44 46 9 This Bar - Morgan Wallen ( 29 ) Big Loud 47 49 -- 2 Details - Billy Currington ( 47 ) Mercury 48 50 -- 2 Done - Chris Janson ( 48 ) Warner Music Nashville 49 NEW 1 She's Mine - Kip Moore ( 49 ) MCA Nashville 50 NEW 1 hole in a bottle - Kelsea Ballerini ( 50 ) Black River {Hot Rock Songs} HOT ROCK SONGS The week of March 14, 2020 TW LW 2W WOC Title Artist ( Peak ) Imprint | label 1 1 1 94 High Hopes - Panic! The easiest solution would be not posting the charts on Pulse at all and everyone get Billboard subscriptions. You're welcome This just made me appreciate the people who post the charts here now

How Ace's 1975 Classic 'How Long' Hit No. 1 on a Billboard Chart This Week 3/11/2020 by Kevin Rutherford
The former No. 3 Hot 100 hit rules Rock Digital Song Sales thanks to Amazon Prime ad.
A classic song that hit the Billboard Hot 100's top three in 1975 finally makes its way to No. 1 on a Billboard chart. Ace's "How Long," which rose to No. 3 on the Hot 100 in May 1975, debuts at No. 1 on Rock Digital Song Sales (dated March 14).
It enters after selling 4,000 downloads, a surge of 2,059%, in the week ending March 5, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. Sparking the gain: Its sync in a new ad for Amazon Prime. "How Long" also garnered 831,000 U.S. streams (up 30%) in the week ending March 5, which, combined with its download count (and minimal airplay on reporting stations), spurs its debut on the sales-, streaming- and airplay-based Hot Rock Songs tally, at No. 19 (as older songs are allowed to chart if in the top half of the ranking and with a meaningful reason for their return). Formed in 1972, Ace released three albums in the mid-'70s prior to disbanding in 1977. "How Long" stands as the English band's top-charting Hot 100 hit; a second song, "Rock & Roll Runaway," peaked at No. 71 in August 1975.
Versatile Ace vocalist Paul Carrack, who wrote "How Long," went on to subsequent success both solo and with Squeeze and Mike + The Mechanics. He sang lead on Squeeze's fellow classic "Tempted," which climbed to No. 8 on Mainstream Rock Songs and (a perhaps surprisingly modest) No. 49 on the Hot 100 in 1981. Mike + The Mechanics sent two hits with Carrack on lead vocals to the Hot 100's top 10: "Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground)," a No. 6 hit in 1986, and "The Living Years," which led for a week in 1989. In between those two top 10s, his own "Don't Shed a Tear" reached No. 9 in 1988.
