I like this too. The Blackbear verse is imo a necessary switchup to an otherwise pretty faceless record. The chorus is catchy too. I hope this could do some damage in the US.

This is fine. That twitter react is definitely overblowing things. Its far from her best, but its not terrible. I'm not gonna skip this, at the very least. I didnโt like her vocals on the chorus at first, but this is muuuuch better than โClose to Meโ. I like it, not as much as I like โHate Meโ though. That twitter user is definitely blowing it out of proportion. I actually like Blackbear on it it, too! |

I liked this more than I expected to based on the pretty damning feedback here... but it's nothing amazing and definitely sounds like an Ariana track. I don't really 'get' Ellie these days. Her past few singles have definitely been some of her most uninspired material. Shit what I said still stands but this grew on me HARD. |
