I don't think I've seen a thread for this? His debut album is out now.
Overall, I think this is a strong debut. It's fairly cohesive and there's some fillers but only a few, which I'd say is pretty good for a 21 track album.
My review of the album:
1. Drugs & The Internet: Great song, still a favorite of mine. It's a great way to open the album as well. 8.5/10
2. f**k, I'm lonely (ft. Anne-Marie): Probably one of my bottom songs off the album. Lyrics are nice and I love Anne-Marie but it's pretty boring imo.
3. Lonely Eyes: I'm shook? The production on this song is FANTASTIC and the build up is great and exciting. It feels very nostalgic and almost cinematic? Probably one of my favorites.
4. Sims: It's a cute concept. It's fairly forgettable compared to the rest of the album though.
5. Believed: Another great track It's lyrically fantastic, and the production is really nice. A nice listen.
6. Billy: Hmm... fairly conflicted. It's cute and a nice concept but it's... very weird. I don't know. Not a favorite of mine at all. Maybe a grower?
7. Feelings: Still a favorite. A fantastic song that I wish did more. A ROMANTIC.
8. Canada (feat. Alessia Cara): I'm a sucker for guitar ballads and this is no exception. So so beautiful! Their voices compliment each other well too.
9. For Now: Rude that he did 2 ballads in a row, but this is so beautiful and very relatable. I've been in a few long distance relationships myself.
10. Mean It (feat. LANY): My favorite pre-release track. I love LANY too and I always thought they'd sound good together!
11. Tell My Mama: Ouch!! I felt this song and it's very sweet. Not what I was expecting for some reason. Very emotional.
12. Sweatpants: The lyrics... damn. Is he alright? Didn't know he was dealing with so much. I love the song though. One of the better songs!
13. Who (feat. BTS): Where the hell did this come from? I'm not a fan of BTS at all but this is such a beautiful track. The notes he hits in the chorus too
14. i'm so tired... (feat. Troye Sivan): Still a great song but It feels a bit... out of place? It probably could've been left off honestly...
15. El Tejano (feat. Sofia Reyes): THIS HOT ASS BOP!!! Might be my favorite? Sofia sounds great on this and this is really ~spicy~ song. It's also a nice change of pace in the album too.
16. Tattoos Together: A fine song. It never struck as amazing on first listen but it's cute! I don't go back to it very often though.
17. Changes: Another song that was just okay for me. It's lyrically nice but sonically it's just eh.
18. Sad Forever: I forget what this song sounds like- anyways
19. Invisible Things: AAAHH this song is a MOOD. I love the lyrics and it's so beautiful.
20. Julia: This song... aaah. Topic might be controversial but it's so raw and honest and vulnerable and not making him out to be the good guy and admitting he screwed up. It's also the only(?) song on the album he produced solo as well!
21. Modern Loneliness: A fantastic way to close the album. Not my favorite though.
