Ah I thought you were referring to the limited radio potential that "Sweet Music Man" had in 2002.

For a moment there I thought it was mine! "Room to Breathe" is one of the album tracks that probably grew on me the most as the series went on and by the time it came to do this it had managed to find its way into my top 10. Kind of surprised by how polarizing this is but maybe like myself it's just one of those songs that is more of a grower with time.

My relatively low ranking of it is just a testament to how strong this group of songs is. I certainly like it enough to be a top 10, just not when considering what it’s up against.

"Room To Breathe" is a song I included by request, because a few people like tim and ClevelandRox have found themselves coming back to it quite regularly since we did the Room To Breathe album rankdown. This song initially tied with "If I Had Any Sense Left At All" in the album rankdown, and yet it managed to beat that song here, so that alone proves that it was worth including imo! I would have loved to see this song make the top 20, but tbh all of these songs are so great that the competition is already getting quite fierce. Reba's delivery of this one is just so amazing, especially in the soft and breathy chorus. Not to mention that if I talked about all the lyrics worth mentioning, we would be talking about the entire song! Such a well-written jam ![](http://i.imgur.com/2smy76v.gif)

Any surprises so far?? How much longer will "The Bridge You Burn" last, thereby eliminating the All The Women I Am album? How much longer will Stronger Than The Truth go before losing a song??

No huge surprises so far. I think that "The Bridge You Burn" will last a little longer yet. I could see Stronger Than The Truth losing a couple of songs in the 20-16 range. I could also see Room To Breathe losing another one soon.

There really haven't been any surprises yet with only "Room to Breathe" being the most disappointing loss thus far. As for "The Bridge You Burn" I know it was a big favorite from that album so I expect it to at least make it into the top 15 if not into the top 12. I think "The Clown" is probably on borrowed time so I expect Stronger Than The Truth to see its first loss within the first couple of top 20 reveals.

Kicking off the top 20, the Room To Breathe album takes a second consecutive loss. This time it is "Secret", Reba's jam about a woman secretly giving her son up for adoption as a young woman, and then living a sad and miserable life because she is so wracked with guilt over the decision yet has to pretend it never happened because her husband has no idea. I have always found this one to be a highlight from the RTB album, partly because it has a great mid-tempo energy on an album that is otherwise pretty lethargic. Reba sings this song with conviction, and I love the arrangement. Thrilled to see it make the top 20 here! RIP to ClevelandRox, who loses his 3rd top 5 in a row ![:dead:](http://ruadventures.com/forum/Smileys/animated/smiley_resurrect_grave.gif)

The third track from Reba Duets leaves us just inside the top 20. This duet with Trisha Yearwood has always been a standout on the album, but not nearly as much so as "Sleeping With The Telephone" or "When You Love Someone Like That", so this feels like about where I would have expected it to leave. This song was a top 10 contender for quite awhile actually, but plummeted for almost the entire back half of the submission process...

"She Can't Save Him" was in a tie with #18, but lost the tie because it didn't get any top 5 ranks. #18 has TWO top 5 ranks ;)

“She Can’t Save Him” did about as good as I thought it might if not a bit better. This was easily one of my favorite discoveries as I hadn’t ever given the Duets album my full attention back during its release. This is such a heartbreaking song that both Reba and Trisha nail perfectly.

Eek...I’ve always found the production of “Just When I Thought I’d Stopped Loving You” to be a bit jarring and I’m a bit surprised by the amount of support it receives. This song just never really seems to fit into Reba’s repertoire overall.

I am shocked that "Just When I Thought I'd Stopped Loving You" seems to be as much of a Pulse favorite as it is... This song is very in-your-face, and I always expect it to be pretty polarizing for fans who prefer traditional Reba. This one takes some getting used to, for sure. That said, once you get into it, this melody is dangerously good! I hear this one in my head all the time, and have really come to love it the more I have heard it through the years! But still, I did not expect this one to be placed in the top 5 album tracks from this wonderful album, and yet we enthusiastically made it the second-highest album track behind only "Maggie Creek Road"... I also did not expect this to be in the top 20 in a list this strong. Not disappointed to see it get love though!

I've always been a big fan of "Just When I Thought I'd Stopped Loving You". It definitely sounds different for Reba, but I think it's a really nice addition to her catalog. I actually think that it should have been the lead single from the album.

With an unfortunate 1-2 punch, the Keep On Loving You album becomes the 3rd album to be down to only 1 song, after Sing It Now and All The Women I Am. "Maggie Creek Road" is the sole remaining song.
"She's Turning 50 Today" has always been such a smooth, easy listen, that I have only come to appreciate even more over time. The song tells such a compelling story, and sounds especially convincing coming from Reba at this stage of her career. I have always kinda thought this one could have been a sleeper hit if it had been given the chance, but I guess we'll never know! It has always felt a bit under-appreciated, so I am pleased to see it get this top 20 recognition here!!

I agree that "She's Turning 50 Today" could have been a sleeper hit for Reba. Keep On Loving You is such a strong album, and I wish that they had made different single choices (outside of "Consider Me Gone").

"It Just Has To Be This Way" is fantastic. I wanted to make room for it in my top 10, but I just couldn't knock anything out for it. I think it would have been a great single from Room To Breathe.

"It Just Has To Be This Way" - a duet that wasn't on the duets album! This song was the highest album track when we did the Room To Breathe rankdown, with very little struggle whatsoever, which tbh shocked me a bit. This song is great, but that album is so good that this song should have seen some serious competition from the likes of "Moving Oleta", at the VERY minimum. Reba and Vince sound great together here, and the lyrics are once again very compelling as they portray a couple of ex-lovers who are trying to be civil yet not lead each other on. Seriously, this entire album is just such a lyrical juggernaut. I'm a bit surprised to see this miss the top 15, considering how well it did in the album rankdown, but this feels just about right to me. This started out at #1 thanks to tim being the first submitter, but quickly plummeted to be right on the cusp of the top 15 for the rest of the rankdown.

I like "It Just Has To Be This Way" a lot better than "These Broken Hearts", the song that did end up on the duets album from Reba and Vince. They have four duets together and, while all are good, to me this and "The Heart Won't Lie" are in a different league than the other two.

Disappointed but not surprised that “It Just Has to Be This Way” is out already. This is one song that I just kept coming back to time and time again and I’ve always just loved the way Reba and Vince’s voices blend together. Combine that with me being a sucker for sad songs like these and it all just really comes together as whole to make this my favorite album track of hers from this particular era.

Reba + Vince together is always a winning combination. I'm not a big fan of him on his own, but he really complements female voices nicely when he duets with them (see also his featured BGVs on a few Sara Evans songs).
