Wow, if this gets a real radio push right now, this could be huge.

This was something we needed to hear right now. I love this song, and at least at country I can see it at least doing a Top 20 finish.

I like this quite a bit! Would this be a one-off thing they do or is the 'Center Point Road' area over? And could Thomas push two singles at once?

Nah I highly doubt this effects any plans for ‘Center Point Road’. This will be treated like Maren’s “Dear Hate” if anything. I can see it doing really well just with the names attached, and I like the message but it kinda hits flat for me. I’ll have to give it another listen.

This is a pretty standard charity single. Not great but not terrible either.. nice to hear Reba.

What an interesting combination of artists! I imagine it won’t get a full push on radio but in the case that it does they can push this and then go back to push “Notice” as the final single from Center Point Road and shouldn’t be too big of an issue.

This is nice. Not sure what, if anything, it will do commercially, but it's a nice blend of artists and a decent song.

I never thought I would see Chris Tomlin on a country song. I like a few songs from him. I will say I do like this song and hope this does well

Up to #42 on the Mediabase rolling chart. Radio, in light of what’s going on in the country, is giving this song an audience at the moment.
This will be Reba’s highest charting credit on Mediabase and Billboard Airplay since “Going Out Like That” from 2015.

Enters at #27 on Billboard Country Airplay! That's Reba's highest appearance since "Going Out Like That" and this debuted higher than that song's peak! If "Be A Light" were to hit #1, it'd be her first since 2010's "Turn On The Radio" and (correct me if I'm wrong but if I'm not mistaken) it would make Reba the only artist in country music history to have a #1 song in FIVE different decades! (Not sure about the all-genre statistic of that, but I don't think she'd be the first) Of course she isn't the only artist on the song; happy for everyone on the song and thankful to Thomas for releasing it!

The peak for “Going Out Like That” has been messed up for months on Wikipedia.

(ETA: Yeah, I went to Wikipedia and they had the two flip-flopped for that song on her list of singles.) So that's even better, this is her highest appearance since then!

I can’t recall the last time an artist had two singles simultaneously climbing in the top 30 at radio since Tim McGraw famously did it with “I Need You” and “If You’re Reading This” in 2007.
Luke Bryan had “Kick the Dust Up” and the non-promoted single “Games” in the top 30 but “Games started free-falling once “Kick the Dust Up” debuted...verses Tim’s case, where both of his songs were gaining in airplay in the top 20 lol.
The difference here is Valory sent “Be a Light” to radio with what the country is feeling during this pandemic, knowing they had a single in the top 10 already (“Beer Can't Fix”). Curb originally wasn’t prepared to promote two singles at once but once “If You’re Reading This” started climbing on its own after its post-ACM performance debut, they worked it to radio and included it on the studio album, Let It Go.

If you go back even further, 'American Soldier' blew onto the R&R/Mediabase charts @ #35 in November of 2003 while 'I Love This Bar' was spending its third of four weeks at #1; it also spent 5 weeks atop the Billboard chart.
