I wanted this to be my hint to The Cowboy In Me, but I couldn't really give a hint once it was in the top two.

Also, the top 2 is perfect... definitely rooting for "Cowboy' but this IS my top 2, so... yeah not sure what this whole 'Flops submitted last yikes' business is supposed to mean but I love both of these, so ha. lol I thought you tanked either "Telluride" or "Angry All The Time" that is all, I know you adore "The Cowboy In Me" so While accusing Flops of flopping you actually flopped yourself!

I may have been rooting for "Cowboy", but these are both among the best singles of his entire career. Both have been loooooong overdue to win a rankdown, so I am thrilled to see "Angry" join the winner's circle!! And maybe we can get our collective shit together enough to get "Cowboy" to victory in RotB?

Y'all know how I feel about "The Cowboy In Me," it will always be my favorite Tim song! Just an incredible melody, and the lyric 'we ride and never worry about the fall, I guess that's just the cowboy in us all' always gets to me!!! I've ranted about it before but I'm gonna keep doing it, so sorry lol. "Angry All The Time" is great too, though, and while I figured this would be the top 2 I was not about to tank "Angry" just so "Cowboy" could win. Both of these deserved to be in the top 2, so I was gonna let it play out however it was supposed to and it did so I'm not that unhappy. Although I would love to see "Cowboy" win a RD sometime in the future! ClevelandRox thanks for hosting! From here on out, my participation in this album series might be a bit more sparse lol. We'll see tho.

Can't believe I had y'all thinking Flops tanked Telluride, but thinking I tanked "Angry..." WELL! I take great offense to that lol. I am glad to see it win and I'm glad to see that I FINALLY took "Telluride" out of RotB eligibility

"The Cowboy in Me" is a very good song, but "Angry All the Time" is an incredible one so the right song won indeed!! I had them at 16 and 28 in his singles RD, so I'm a pretty big fan of both.
"Unbroken," on the other hand, was in my bottom 5 for his singles RD. I don't get the appeal and singles bias definitely carried it much further than it needed to go. Happy to see it bested by the album's top two hits and also "Telluride"!

My oh my...and you're the straight one of the group here :kii: I would have guessed that either "Grown Men Don't Cry" or "Unbroken" would be one of the first singles out in the top five considering both have its fair share of fans and detractors. While I don't go out of my way to listen to either songs, I do have to say that "Unbroken" makes for a great road tripping song! And considering that "Telluride" has always been a favorite from the album it didn't come as surprise to see it land inside the top 3. I don't quite like this one as much of some of you, but it's still a great song and I remain partial to his version over Josh Gracin's. As much as I like "The Cowboy in Me" I was longing to see "Angry All the Time" come out victorious, both because it's always been one of my favorites from Tim but also I was rooting for Austin native songwriter Bruce Robison! Thanks again, ClevelandRox, and I'm looking forward to revisiting one of his earlier 90s albums :)

Me and tim talked in PM about which vintage album we should dive into and between these two, there were pros and cons, but I know tim wanted to get down memory lane though, so surprise, the next rankdown will be both first two albums from Tim's career!ย His self titled from 1993 that had a handful of singles that didn't do a lot, followed by Not A Moment Too Soon, his breakthrough album that brought him to superstardom with Indian Outlaw, the title track, Don't Take The Girl, Down on the Farm and Refried Dreams. I wasn't sure if a lot would be that excited about self/titled since it doesn't have any familiar hits, so that's why I found this a perfect one-time pairing. Both are only 30 minutes in length and can get done in around the same time as the past 14 song albums. I talked to a few of yall in PMs about an idea I was throwing around about at the end of these albums, we could do a Tim Album rankdown. So, everyone who has been following the series, maybe start mentally ranking the albums in your head as we go through them. I think after we finish the Album Tracks rankdown so people will be a little more refreshed with the non-hits, we can do an Album rankdown. Probably will be only a handful of us that listen to them all but could be a fun payoff getting to rank them after.ย Back to Mullet Tim! ๐คค Tim McGraw I still want to give the normal four weeks for these, but if anyone needs time you know I'll give it. ย These will be due in a little under a month on Monday, August 17th. Rank each album separately from your favorite to least favorite, your favorite being at #1. Then PM me your list(s)!ย Shotgun Riders: Adrian C. ๐ @annebury austin BB๐ bboat11 bigfan101 taylor is terrified castleoblivion26 cedric Cody Wants Out... Not really surprised by most of the results from Set This Circus Down although I did expect the title track to be in the top 5 and "Unbroken" to be outside the top 10. I'm really glad "Angry All The Time", "Cowboy In Me" and "Telluride" finished in the top 3 spots.

I am still a little stunned this one ranked rather low. I thought that Pulse would love this. I'm waiting w/ bated breath for the Live Like You Were Dying album (there are going to be a lot of threats about tanking Blank Sheet of Paper) and I'm dreading Let It Go (there is going to be a lot of gnashing of teeth on that one and the 7 singles). I'm most waiting for giving my #1/Gold Star/A1 vote to You Had to Be There from Southern Voice album. I'm also waiting for the Tim McGraw extras rankdown (assuming that is where all the duets go) so I can share my love for I've Got Friends That Do and his Def Leppard collaboration.
