I'm floored that people like "What Room Was the Holiday In". That song has always been at the bottom for me, next to "I Keep It Under My Hat"
"You Can Take It With You (When You Go)" has also been at the bottom of the album for me since I first got the album in the 90s but listening to it for this something clicked and I enjoyed it a lot more than I ever did previously.
I'm dreading what you all did with "What She Left Behind" and "Welcome To The Club", as those two are easily the best songs on this album.

I ranked two songs at #9? "What Room Was the Holiday In" was my #7, I just went back and checked Me thinking I might've put it in the spreadsheet at #9 and making Holiday move up to #6 in the rankdown, but I didn't. I fucked up in copying to the wordpad, as always. 😂

When I typed the finishing order in wordpad two nights ago, this was in second place! But now it misses the top five entirely. This is one of my two favorite album tracks on the album, I think it could've been a potential single. It saw every ranking from 1 to 10, .indulgecountry loses his #1 while gardyfan loses his last place.

And with that, I'm out for the night. 😂
Recap:
10. I Keep It Under My Hat - 113 points 9. You Can Take It With You (When You Go) - 99 points 8. What Room Was The Holiday In - 84 points 7. The Only Thing That I Have Left - 83 points 6. Ain't No Angels - 82 points
The top five:
Welcome to the Club Two Steppin' Mind Memory Lane Tears in the Rain What She Left Behind
I meant to ask in the pre-reveal questions, which Joe Diffie penned song will get further? Memory Lane or Tears in the Rain?

"Tears In the Rain" should be higher than "Memory Lane" but who knows lol. I do wish "Ain't No Angels" had made the top 5 over "Two Steppin' Mind", which I do like but is not a favorite

"Ain't No Angels" and "The Only Thing That I Have Left" deserved better. SMH

Wow I always thought "What Room Was The Holiday In" was a good single and really the only one I regularly come back to.
"Ain't No Angels" is a fantastic album track, I'm surprised it didn't get more love here, definitely should've outlasted "Two Steppin' Mind" and "Memory Lane" at the very least.
I'm glad "What She Left Behind" and "Tears In The Rain" have been able to hang around, hoping they can make the top 3.

First I get worked up over all the fuckery in Lee Ann's album, and now I come here to find that Tim's is even worse... We seriously need to find some taste. And if that's too difficult, find Jesus

is it bad that I find a bit enjoyment in how upset everyone is over the results here and the Lee Ann results lol. Don't get me wrong I've been there before but as far as these two albums go I feel like the results have been correct.

No real surprises in the bottom three as I pretty much expected that both “You Can Take It With You (When You Go)” and “What Room Was the Holiday In” to be out somewhere close to that.
I really wanted to like Tim’s take on “The Only That I Have Left” more than I did, but having grown up listening to George’s version all my life it’s very hard for me not to compare the two. I initially had this in my top five out of the gate, but as I began making edits it fell towards my bottom half.
It’s a shame that “Ain’t No Angels” couldn’t make it into the top five because it really is one of the better album tracks. It has that classic ‘90s sound that still manages to hold its own even today. Looking back I think this would’ve made for a better single choice than say “What Room Was the Holiday In”.
I still fully expect that “Welcome to the Club” will come out on top with maybe “Two Steppin’ Mind” being the album track that lands in the top 2. I think the top 3 will likely come down to either “Memory Lane” or "Tears in the Rain" with the former being the second most polarizing song amongst the group. Anyways, here are my predictions:
5. What She Left Behind 4. Memory Lane 3. Tears in the Rain 2. Two Steppin’ Mind 1. Welcome to the Club

Well we have our answer to the Joe Diffie question! Tears in the Rain spent also even spent some time at #2, but slipped down to five in the last few lists. This is my other favorite album track besides Ain't No Angels and am glad it still managed a top five placement! taylor is terrified loses her #1 while .indulgecountry loses his last place!

Another song to receive rankings in every position between 1 and 10! It was in the bottom half the entire rankdown till near the end, where it managed to get into the top 4. Of all rankdowns I've hosted so far, this is the one that REALLY needed a trajectory graph because these songs were bouncing all over the place! George Strait Junkie loses his #1 while someguy loses his last place!

We lose another single just shy of the top two! Memory Lane had just as many tankers as it did fans, 4 putting it in their top two while 4 had it in their bottom two, making it the second most polarizing of the rankdown. I really enjoy this one, fun energy and I can't help but love the extremely dated sounding "walkin'!"s at the end, then the unexpected double whammy "walkin', walkin'!" coming in- Something about it is so distracting to me, but I love it. 😂 tim and gonecountry lose their #1's while bboat11 is last to lose his last place!

Welcome to the Club was always the winner here, while What She Left Behind snuck into it's runner up spot at the last minute! Even though it's not my favorite single from it, when I think of his first album I usually think "Welcome to the Club". A great song and deserving winner imo! All but four rankers put it in their top five, giving it the lowest SD of the entire rankdown.

Aww I was hoping for an album track to win! "What She Left Behind" is so good and honestly I think would've been a big hit for him.

Other than "Welcome to the Club" winning the top five didn't go quite as I was predicting it to. In the back of my mind I was thinking that "What She Left Behind" was actually going to be a song that would connect well amongst the group, but because I saw quite a bit of praise for "Two Steppin' Mind" in the thread I just assumed that one might sneak into the top two. I'm glad to see "Memory Lane" at least manage to make it into the top three as that is the song that first introduced me to Tim via CMT. That said, I figured it was going to be more on the polarizing side so I never thought it was going to do much better than that. JFC yall just can't comment on anything else besides my mistakes, can yall? 😂 Well, commenting or not this at least lets you know that everyone was following along with the results! In a series such as this there's always going to be an album or two where due to its unfamiliarity may not see the same level of participation and such is the case here with Tim's debut album. You at least got up to 15 participants with this one all the while y'all are leaving George hanging with only 6

And you not only get to rank George but Bubba Strait too...

"Welcome to the Club" was the best single from this record easily, so I'm happy to see it wound up the winner here.
