The correct bottom 2. Both of these songs suck ass.
ETA: I didn't refresh the page and now I'm #late but "Mexicoma" isn't very good either. One spot away from having three perfect rankings in a row to start off, lol.

13. It's Your World
We continue taking out the trash with It's Your World. This is by far my least favorite song of Tim's entire career on an album where I pretty much love everything else. Like nails on a chalkboard.
This is a pretty bold statement considering we're talking about the guy who has given us songs like "Truck Yeah", "Looking For That Girl", and whatever tf that Shy Carter duet was!

2. What song will be last place (#14?) "Truck Yeah", with no competition whatsoever. I see you trying to feed me this red herring... "Truck Yeah" was the ONLY correct option to have at last place. It was easily the last place in his full-career singles rankdown, and every bit as deserving of an uncontested last place here. This song is just tragic. Not only is the melody and content taken directly from the Bro Country playbook, but Tim felt the need to go to the extra trouble of adding an entire vocal track singing the ENTIRE SONG one octave below the main vocal, which is hella annoying while also being completely unnecessary. "It's Your World" was one that I felt like I should hate, but just could not bring myself to do so. I low-key found this one to be really catchy... Lol. The chorus especially is kinda catchy in a sort of angsty way that is just delicious if you're in the right mood. "Mexicoma" is a clear bottom-tier song on this album. Not because it is outright bad, but moreso because the rest of the album is just so strong. This album draws much more strength from its more maudlin introspective moments than it does its fluffy uptempo attempts. This is also a song that I feel would have been much stronger with maybe a bit more of a traditional country vibe to it. The arrangement is kinda bland for the fun nature of the song, imo. "Let Me Love It Out Of You" was one that went straight towards the bottom of my list not because I hated it but because the rest of this album is so strong. The 12/8 time signature of course helps it to stand out from the rest of the album, but in a cruel twist of fate makes it a tad less exciting than the other ballads, lol... Tim's vocal here is also very different from the rest of the album, which could be good or bad depending on the listener's personal preferences. However, once it gets into full swing mode, it is definitely quite catchy! Competition was just hella stacked on this album... I'm pretty happy with this start so far I have a feeling it gets more painful from here though... Imo the weak links are pretty much gone, and we still have a LONG way to go... I'm especially nervous to see which two remaining album tracks are going to miss out on the album tracks rankdown I want all of them to make it!! But the ones that I would choose to get rid of might not be the ones that y'all would choose to get rid of... I'm especially nervous for "Number 37405"!

Totally overlooked that this was getting started otherwise I would’ve for sure done the pre-reveal questions. That said, the bottom 2 songs out first would’ve been my guesses as well and I have to agree with ClevelandRox that “It’s Your World” is not just the worst song on the album but is pretty close to being one of the worst songs within Tim’s discography (right alongside “Lookin’ For That Girl”). Most of y’all reserve that title for “Truck Yeah” and I admit that back when it first came out I thought it was quite atrocious. As time has passed, however, I actually find that I don’t mind it as much as I used to and almost took it out of my bottom 2. While it still isn’t something I’d seek out on my own to put on, I can see the appeal in it for some of you. I didn’t realize “Mexicoma” was such a polarizing song and I’m a bit surprised to see it out in the bottom 3. I kind of think it added a bit of life to the album and agree with our host that it’s a fun song. And it should go without saying that Tim looks incredibly fine in that video Although I didn’t get to make any initial predictions, I think the top five will include the remaining three singles with “One of Those Nights” at #2 and “Highway Don’t Care” for the win. That leaves room for two album tracks which I think will be “Nashville Without You” and the title track. As for what will miss the top five, I’d have to guess that “Tinted Windows” and “Annie I Owe You A Dance” will leave next next followed by “Book of John” and either “Number 37405” or “Friend of a Friend” just missing the top 5.

"Southern Girl" is garbage, my gosh. The singles this era are some of his worst.

"Southern Girl" is garbage, my gosh. The singles this era are some of his worst. Kinda agreed (with the exception of HDC). The title track was a complete missed opportunity and would've been perfect for a road trip. Still bitter about that several years later.

I felt like I had overranked “Southern Girl” as it is so I’m not at all disappointed to see it leave first inside the top ten. I never really cared much for the song when it was on radio, but I think my dislike for it back then had more to do with the state of country music and radio at the time. That said, it has grown on me a bit more over the years and I don’t have that same sentiment towards it as I did back then.

I knew "Southern Girl" would be trashed. And I know I am trash for my rank But this song is CATCHY y'all! I pretty much constantly have that "Southern girl, rock my world. Hazel eyes and golden curls" ditty playing in my head on a loop, and NEVER get tired of it! Plus something about how he inflects his voice on Tupelo honEY, followed by that ascending electric guitar slide, is just SO brilliant. I knew it would probably leave first in the top 10, but I cannot help but love it. "Tinted Windows" is SO good. But honestly, everything that is left is so strong, there was simply no room for this one to do any better :(

Ugh, I none of the remaining album tracks deserve to miss out... I'd say "Book Of John" is the one I would be most okay with?

This album has a lot of unique and oddly-specific situational ballads on it, between this one, "Number 37405", and "Annie I Owe You A Dance" (and to some extent "Friend of a Friend"), and out of all of them this one is by far the least engaging melodically to me. I still love it! But I am definitely okay with sacrificing this one now if it means all the others get to be in the album tracks rankdown

Oh good. "Southern Girl" is garbage and one of the most disappointing single choices of his career from an album that was already released... his lead singles tend to be an iffy bunch but we don't know yet just how great the songs left on the table were, but that wasn't the case when we saw Timmy overlook so many downright fantastic songs on this record to follow-up such a strong 1-2 punch of "Nights" and "Highway" with this... vapid clunker.

Glad that "Book of John" is out, I can't remember a thing about it but if I ranked it the low on this album I HATED it.

7. Annie I Owe You A Dance Total: 98 Average: 6.36 Std Dev: 2.27 (2nd Smallest!)fearlessarrow - 3 @xfer - 3 bboat11 - 4 castleoblivion26 - 5 Cody Wants Out... - 5 LBTrocks - 5 gonecountry - 6 austin - 7 Troublemaker - 7gardyfan - 8 someguy - 8 ClevelandRox - 9 .indulgecountry - 9 lady𝓐fan - 9 tim - 10 Finishing ahead of Book of John by a whopping 29 points, Annie I Owe You a Dance bows out at #7. This is such a lovely song and I wish I had put it at 8 instead of 9 now. I especially love the changing chorus and the way he sings it. I heard you found yourself a real good man, do you ever think of you and me? and I hear your little girl say, momma who was that guy? both hit a nerve with me. The hint was the character of Annie Edison from the cult favorite TV show, Community. I was seeing if anyone had taste.
