One point ahead of Annie and two points behind #5 (so close!), we have Number 37405. Storyteller Tim really knocks this one out of the park for me and I'm just so glad it made the album tracks rankdown. LBTrocks loses his #1. He listens to the birds sing on a perfect autumn morning, just down the road rings an old church bell. What do y'all take the ending lyrics as? I take it as the love of his life he lost while in prison is now getting married, he has his freedom again but it's bittersweet because his one mistake cost him everything else. 😢

Wow, you guys couldn't even get the HANDS DOWN BEST SONG on the album into the top 5... shameful! "Number 37405" was actually excellent... I misjudged it on first listen cuz I was listening while driving my route for work, but on my subsequent listens I realized that it is a really good song with a strong melody.

I thought that single bias would still manage to get “Southern Girl” into the top five, but alas it did not! Here’s my predictions for the top 5:
5. Friend of a Friend 4. Two Lanes of Freedom 3. Nashville Without You 2. One of Those Nights 1. Highway Don’t Care

How on earth could this have missed top 5?! This song is one of his best album tracks of all time! "Number 37405" is an absolute home run of a lyric and the melody and vocal delivery make it a grand slam. If only it had been the fourth single and been the smash it deserved to be. I needed a music video for it. *sigh*

Finishing 2 points ahead of Number 37405 and 3 points ahead of Annie I Owe You A Dance is Friend of a Friend. I particularly love the way it goes from a sorrowful song of his ex love moving on and getting married, to the end twist where she leaves her cheating husband and is asking a friend of a friend about Tim. FIVE people had this in their top 3!

"Friend of A Friend" was SO bad and I hate that it got a top 5 place and "Number" didn't!

Awww...this makes me sad. Was really hoping the title track would pull off a surprise win. :'( Anyways, the title track would've worked better on radio than "Southern Girl" ever aspired to.

"Nashville Without You" is the best thing on this album so I'm happy it made it to the Top 3, as well as the top Album Track! I expect it to be out at #3 but that is okay, I really like this song!

Coming in third place and one point behind the title track we have the second single, One of Those Nights! I really love this one and thought it was the perfect follow-up after the underwhelming Truck Yeah. It went to #1 on mediabase. It was a 3-week #1 on Billboard I believe too - it blocked the Mediabase-only #1s "Begin Again" and "Tornado" - blocked two really good songs but then again "One of Those Nights" itself is really good too so I can't really complain here. Also at least for Taylor, Tim did help her get a country #1 with his next single so...

2. Three get perfect rankings and two legends lose their #1's. </3 1. Highway Don't Care (feat. Taylor Swift)
Total: 45 Average: 3.07 Std Dev: 3.38
@xfer - 1 In the end, it wasn't even close as Highway Don't Care won by 23 points! This was the duet we wanted/needed ever since Taylor debuted with her first single (and for some reason, they felt the need to invite Keith Urban to the party), and went to #1 on mediabase. Five see their #1 win/have perfect rankings! Meanwhile, LBTrocks loses his last place.

#shocker
"Highway Don't Care" is atrocious. I knew this was gonna win even with my rank, but I just wanted to show my distaste for it anyway lol.
This didn't play out too horribly I just wish that "Number" made the top 5

I will never understand how you people would take a song like "Highway Don't Care" over songs like "Number" and "Nashville Without You" but ok. I actually really liked those two! It was worth doing this RD to discover them.

My memory only holds mediabase (I can never remember what missed out on Billboard) so in the future if anyone wants to add the Billboard peaks after a reveal (or how many weeks on either chart), please do This didn't play out too horribly I just wish that "Number" made the top 5 We needed George Strait Junkie 's help! 😩 ONE. POINT.

I literally bought this album just to listen to "Highway Don't Care" because it was unavailable for download for me at the time, but the album itself turned out to be great for the most part so it was well worth the purchase. "Highway Don't Care" is just all-around fantastic - Tim and Taylor sound really good on the song, the piano riff that keeps playing sticks in my head, and I actually really enjoy the outro from Taylor's repeated "I can't live without you, I can't live without you baby"s to Keith Urban's guitar. One of my favorite country songs from 2013. Thanks for hosting ClevelandRox - it was a great opportunity to revisit this album!

Well, I almost correctly predicted the top five as I along with most of you probably thought it would be “One of Those Nights” in the top two. Seeing “Nashville Without You” sneak in there, though, was a pleasant surprise and we can only wonder how it would’ve done at country radio as a single considering it should’ve been one. That said, “Highway Don’t Care” is easily my favorite song for the album and probably in the top five of my favorite songs Tim has released within the last ten years. Considering that Taylor jumpstarted her career with a song called “Tim McGraw”, it was great getting to hear them duet on this. Thanks again, ClevelandRox , for hosting the album series and I’m excited to get started on the next one!
