Whoās mad? š The song is trash but that still hasnāt stopped me from buying it on iTunes and streaming it on Spotify just because itās Drake, who Iām actually a fan of. You need to relax; itās not that deep. š You're the one who needs to relax. You've been doing the most since the song dropped. Okay, it's trash, how many times do you want to say that? People who also think the song isn't good stated their opinion and kept it moving. You called the song trash, then went to pull a PopCrave tweet saying how he's getting dragged all over Twitter and he's being called desperate then you asked for people to chime in, I suppose so they could join you in continuing to insult him/the song. Now you're mad the song has a radio deal, is being given the full push of a single and isn't flopping like you wish it was. I said all of that to say: you're doing too much. Chill out. You hate the song, we know, now move on. Who āwishedā the song was flopping in the first place? Lord have f*cking mercy! š

^ Frank hasn't released any new music in a while now so it's not surprising that he put up those figures. His fans don't have any other new music from him to stream. The Box is still pushing through months later. Huge gain for DaBaby (I really didn't expect that). I might be remembering wrong but did DHL and In My Room have this big a debut when they dropped? Did they? I can't remember. I didn't care much for them after my first few listens.

What are the WW figures for āToosie Slideā?
I wonder if itāll debut at number one in the U.K. seeing as the entire top five was SO close this week?

6.2M on Spotify globally.
Futsal Shuffle 2020 debuted with 2,596,025 on Spotify and got 40.9M streams in the end. Toosie might do something similar.

I'm so conflicted. Future Nostalgia and Don't Start Now are both my favorite album and song of the year so far and I really want Don't Start Now to reach #1 (but it doesn't look like that will happen). Meanwhile, I also want Toosie Slide to peak at #1. Ugh.

Ms. Cat scoring a TOP TEN overall radio hit!
šØšØšØ
How many Female rappers have scored a top ten radio hit, as a lead artist or solo, let alone a number one?
I know Missy Elliotās āWork Itā peaked at #2 in 2002, and Eveās āLet Me Blow Ya Mindā peaked at #2 in 2001.
Where did āSuperbass/Starshipsā peak?

With or without a radio deal, Drake was going to pull those numbers so good for him. I hope he gets the #1 because high turnover is always fun.

There was no point in this being the first Drake song to get a Pop radio deal. Who the hell is listening to radio right now?
Other than the audience numbers, that radio deal likely had literally no effect anywhere else...

Don't Start Now more than deserves it. UGH. Anyways, there's always her next era. I hope she keeps smashing. She's one of my faves now.

This is his first official single under his new deal, his first lead single of the year and of the new decade and with the effect the Coronavirus outbreak has had on streaming, they wanted to do all they could to give their biggest artist the chance to score a huge debut. When he was still under Cash Money/Young Money, they never used radio deals, no matter the song. They didn't even really promo his songs like that. They usually just relied on him pulling massive streaming numbers which he always did.

Interesting that's getting decently big gains on radio. Wonder how well it can do.

Which label is he on now? Was Scorpion for his last label or the new one? Scorpion was his last album with Cash Money/Young Money, with that album his deal expired.
The new single is released by OVO (Drake's label)

That's a huge reason why UMG is the biggest label. Republic has a huge chunk of the biggest artists in the world and they're a division of UMG.
