I could be wrong but itβs not Swift on the same label too? Damn... Republic records is where itβs at. Yes. That's a huge reason why UMG is the biggest label. Republic has a huge chunk of the biggest artists in the world and they're a division of UMG. I just checked and I never knew itβs roster was so wide. ππΏ Drake; Ariana Grande; Taylor Swift; Post Malone; The Weeknd etc. I feel like Rihanna, BeyoncΓ©, Adele are the only mega-stars who arenβt signed there. π They need to start doing more with Lorde and Hailee Steinfeldβs careers now though. |

Jonas Brothers are also signed to them. Hailee Steinfeld seems more focused on movies right now than music. Her debut EP with them did fairly well, but that was back in 2015 and she hasn't really done much else on the music front. The singles from Lorde's last album got as big of a push as possible, but I think the disconnect came from her taking so much time to begin her sophomore album era (her debut album dropped in 2013 and her sophomore dropped in 2017). |

I will be honest I am not a big fan of Drake myself but that doesn't make his stans delusional for liking his music. For f**k's sakes!
Anyways, I can't believe Sam Hunt has a song from literally 3 years ago now on this new album. Yikes. (The album itself is okay tho imo)

Outside of Hotline Bling and God's Plan Drake has never done huge numbers on YouTube, videos for songs like In My Feelings, Nice for What and Look Alive are all well below 500 million views. A little under 6 million views in a day, especially during a global crisis isn't too surprising. "In My Feelings" the music video came well after the phenomenon of the song/viral dance. By that point the video didn't really matter. With that being said, the youtube views for "Toosie Slide" are pretty underwhelming. Do we even know how/if Billboard factors are those Tik Tok challenges into the point totals? If so, how can we possibly know how "Toosie Slide" will fare by the end of the tracking week if Billboard is going to start counting Tik Tok challenges? |

The same guy that dominates on Spotify and Apple Music is 55th on YouTube with a bit less than 7 billion. You were expecting just way too much.

But that doesn't mean his singles couldn't be Youtube hits as well. This one just isn't (yet).
Also interesting that One Dance peaked with higher figures on Spotify in 2016 than Toosie opened with.

Youtube skews a bit more WW than Spotify or Apple Music, and Drake (while a big deal) does not dominate all markets the same way he does the US.
