This is a Dance remake from 2005 of Jimi Jamison's "I'm Always Here" which is best known as the theme song for Baywatch. It peaked at #4 in the UK in early 2006. This remake actually sampled Jimi's vocals from the original song and they did filter it slightly. Ultimately, they used only the chorus.
Ministry Of Sound released their own full cover with a vocal that sounded very close to Jimi's original. They released it as "Phat Beach (I'll Be Ready)" by Naughty Boy in early 2006.
Both of these versions were produced in response to a bootleg that was making the rounds in 2005 that had Jimi's full vocals by the Sunset Strippers. These went around on a promo in the UK. They sourced the vocals from the original album version too. They were able to clear the samples and the single was quietly released in late January of 2006. This particular version is actually available to buy and stream. The only one actually.
Original Sunblock version
This was decent enough but was really repetitive without the full vocals. The song was really popular in the UK because of its accompanying "this porn has nice music"/"this music has nice porn" music video. They even had an explicit version. I don't think I ever found the explicit version (for informational purposes).
I did end up buying the "Phat Beach" version of it because it was like $1 on Perfect Beat (RIP) and I needed a couple bucks to get the free shipping.
Overall, I prefer the original Sunset Strippers bootleg with Jimi's original vocals. It packs the right punch.
