Also, why are people so confident that Level Of Concern will do more than just make the top 40? It doesn't seem like it's a song that's going to stick around in the long run, and it's heading in the direction of a song like Jumpsuit which is relevant for only a few weeks but then drops off pretty quickly.

The song really isn't that violent outside of some stray lines like that. It wouldn't be hard to just make straight forward club hits and just flex on them, he just can't bring up anything about his previous lifestyle.

It’s like the 14-16 weeks at #1 curse and then something completely unexpected and impactful comes and breaks that

I hope circles can make 34 minimum. And even if he comes back to the top 10 after at least its got 33 consecutive weeks to its name

Exactly, it's just a smart business practice that provides the consumer with both a cool new piece of merch and new music. People act like the downloads that come with merch aren't optional and are quick to go "hOeS mAd" when an artist that they don't generally like does it. Yet you'll see them defend it when their fav does the practice. If merch bundles sell well, it's because the artist that does them has a big fanbase, and thus has more consumers available. If an artist is really serious about the charts, then they should employ the tactic, if they don't, then that's to their detriment.

Carti is a phenomenon. Back in 2017, I would've never imagined he would end up acquiring such a rabid cult following and despite me not really liking his music, I have to respect that. I think @meh is locked #1 debut tbh.
