The Ariana news is great! It might increase the ratings and help Kelly connect more with the streaming generation, especially if she releases her first single during that season. Also hoping for a live duet!
Regarding Stronger, I am all Team LMD. It would've likely given Stronger's release week an AIEW sized success worldwide. Apart from US, UK and Australia, MKIA did more damage than good and while the single Stronger was huge, the world didn't care about the album, which ultimately turned Kelly into a 'single-artist'.

Hopefully they get to perform the full version on the ACMs or another big platform. I need to hear her go off on that final chorus!

I am NOT here for this MKIA shade. One of the best songs of her career don't @ me. Completely agree.

Next week:
Monday: "3AM" - Anna Nalick Matchbox 20 (thanks @dreamingoutloud) Tuesday: "A Broken Wing" - Martina McBride Wednesday: "She's Got You" - Patsy Cline Thursday: "Blue" - LeAnn Rimes Friday: N/A: Rerun
(Zap2It is still listing all songs as Kelly w/ her band "Y'all", so I'm using my best judgement and Google for the most educated guess as to who the song is by.)

If it’s 3AM I bet it’s the Matchbox 20 song. Although I would love to hear 2AM by Anna again, that’s one of my all time favorite tour covers she did.

Thrilled to hear two songs (kind of) for Patsy Cline.
And today’s cover...wow. That sultry lower register and clear as the blue sky belts. Effortless. Made even better by an interesting arrangement. Jason is killing it.

I wish 3AM was the Halsey song. Haha.

It very well may be! We probably won't know until Monday or unless someone has another way to check (I imagine there's probably another website outside of Zap2It).

I just looked on tvpassport and can confirm that it's the Matchbox Twenty 3AM. I don't really go to that site often, I find it much clunkier than zap2it.

This was a cool breakdown of SUBG. I don't think I ever realized just how massively stacked and loud the guitars are - it's almost too much, because there is one particularly great guitar line in the chorus but once you add in the other 87 guitars it's buried and you don't quite hear that first guitar's melody anymore. But it also says even more about how big Kelly's voice is because she not only always cut right through all of it but she elevated it. The moments when Rick keeps going back to replay and geek out over Kelly's vocals on the bridge and the final ad libs are really cute.
Also kind of interesting to skim through the top comments and see multiple men say their wives/gfs were the ones to make fun of them for insisting that SUBG was a great rock song. I forget often how many male rock fans Kelly snatched up with this record.

So fascinating to hear him break it all down like that, exposing so much complexity I just didn’t pick up on. And I could listen to him rave about her vocals for days. Best singer from Idol indeed. What a special song.

Ooh is that the same guy the dove into Ariana's "Into You" awhile back? Because I love the hell out of that type of dissection of music production and songwriting.

💕 Kelly was amazing as always but I've never heard Justin Bieber sing so well before and on pitch!

I clearly missed this announcement/notification, but Kat McPhee's performance auto loaded from another TKCS video and she introduced her as performing with her band "Y'all" lmao. I thought it was just a typo from Zap2It, but I guess they have a name now!

Would kill for a vocal performance like that on the album.

My husband and I share the same Spotify account and when I went in to listen to our liked songs today I noticed he added “Timeless”.
I totally forgot about that song. Such a great song! Kelly’s vocals are perfect in that song.

I met Kelly today at a taping :') I got to be the "spotlight singer" who gets to pick the Kellyoke. She was unbelievably warm & genuine, a bummer that it had to happen over Skype but it was such a wonderful experience & my first time meeting Kelly!!!! I lost my mind
