Ralph Falcon and Oscar Gaeten released a song under the alias Liberty City with vocalist Bebe Dozier in 1992. It was a huge underground hit. Ralph and Oscar produced under the names Funky Green Dogs and Murk. They remade this with Kristine W. in 2002 in an arrangement based on the Danny's New Hook Mix. It peaked at #1 on the Billboard Dance Club Play chart and was prominently featured on Queer As Folk. It had remixes by Gomi, Peter Rauhofer, and Southside. The Peter Rauhofer remix was pushed as the single version. Peter Rauhofer Radio Edit Murk Miami Mix Gomi Mix
This was my introduction to the "Some Lovin" song. I loved what Kristine did with this. The original is fantastic too, especially the Danny mix. I like the Peter mix mostly. I like the original Murk mix too. They did a good job of bringing in the essence of the original but they souped it up with lots of great percussion elements.
