What does everyone see in my #98?:
70. Black and Blue---This WASN'T my pick for worst Van Halen song. At least this sounded like Van Halen was behind it. Might have made top half with better vocals from Hagar.
69. Don't Know What You Got Until It's Gone---Imagine me leading Doc on a hair band ballad. Welcome to 2020, haha. Luckily, I found it a really good ballad. When I saw my lighter was lit (and I don't smoke), I knew that it was top 10 bound.
68. Hate to Lose Your Lovin'---And the wrong Little Feat song goes first. The vocals on this one I thought were better.
67. Just Like Paradise---On the other hand, you're on the right track when it comes to Diamond Dave's output. Hoping his best one ends up in the top half.
66. Sweet Fire of Love---I don't know why I had issues with so many artists and their vocals in 1988, but a better performance might have helped this one catch fire.
65. Shoot High, Aim Low---2016 in a nutshell, lol. Their slightly better one, largely because the synths were fine here.
64. Walk on Water---And this was the other one I was thinking would go first. It may be Hot AC, but I'll take this over just about everything else I've heard from him so far.
63. Lost in You---Boo, people, boo. This was Rod's better song by far. Unless we start ranking VH-1's Sunday Morning songs, then I got no interest in Forever (Not so) Young.
62. Rhythm of Love---Yes, you're right that the Scorpions song was better. But the synths in this one were messy and held it below their other track.
61. Love Changes Everything---The sentiment was fine, the song was just decent.
And I'm somehow ahead of Disassociative when it comes to rankdown closeness. Take a picture because that's a rarity. ;)
Extra:
It's the End of the World as I know it was my introduction to REM. Stand and Orange Crush came later.

Any insight into whether "All Along You Knew" will be ranked in the future years? I completely forgot Honeymoon Suite existed, but I recall I liked that song quite a bit.

EXTRAS:This Is Love - George HarrisonI'm guessing this were songs left over from The Traveling Wilburys albums? The song's alright. I even hear some Jeff Lynn here. I still like "Devil's Radio" more, but I can enjoy this one just as well. I checked it out and sure enough co written, and backing vocals = Jeff Lynn. A key reason why I loved the Cloud Nine album was the ELO-like production. Jeff was behind the production of that whole album and his influence shows. Also, actually the idea of Traveling Wilburys came thanks to Jeff who was working with Roy Orbison for his comeback album. Jeff, George and Roy met up and Roy accepted to provide vocals to a bonus track for George, then they wanted to use Bob’s studio and then George called Tom, and all of them vibed and created Handle with care, destined to be the B side for This is Love... but it was too good to be just a B side, and they ended up creating TW instead and releasing that song as their lead :)

70. Black and Blue - Van HalenAt least Van Halen had a great year. All four Van Hagar songs made my top 40. This one was my third highest. This had a cool blues Rock vibe all the way through. 69. Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone) - CinderellaI knew this was Bangwave's #100. I could have gotten rich if we had bet on it? Out of all the Glam/Hair Metal classics this is the one he would like the least. I love that there was at least one top 10 rank for this song. Amazing Powerballad with heartfelt lyrics, but I couldn't give top 10 status this time around, but let's see who is the highest ranker when "Nobody's Fool" rolls around. 68. Hate to Lose Your Lovin' - Little FeatI can't say I hate this band, but I Don't think I've ever come across anything remotely interesting from this band, and yet they have been a Mainstream staple for many years. I don't think they have scored a single hit on the top 40? Maybe Hot 100? 67. Just Like Paradise - David Lee RothAnother huge top 10 on my personal charts, but I still dig "Stand Up" so much more. "Damn Good" is also well damn good, but I can't believe it wins out the two rocking jams? 66. Sweet Fire of Love - Robbie RobertsonThis sin't anything special. You guys put it more or less where I ranked it on my Alternative RD. Go figure. 65. Shoot High, Aim Low - YesMore like shoot blanks. This was way too long. Like those proggy Pink Floyed songs. It just failed to take me anywhere, and it was excruciatingly boring too. 64. Walk on Water - Eddie MoneyWhat sucks is that we are not gonna get to rank "Shakin'" . My favorite Eddie Money song. I like this song. It has a little for the rockers in the verses and a little for pop in the chorus. It kinda feels like a Broadway show tune rock song, but it is still great. 63. Lost in You - Rod StewartAnother of my 80's favorites. I think this song fits what I crave in Rock a tad more, and I wan ted to fit at least one Rod Stewart into my top 40....and yes catchy Bass Lines get me reved up. 62. Rhythm of Love - YesMuch better song here. This was pretty decent for this band. Nice uptempo vibe and it did have Rhythm. I didn't really care for that crooning section, but other than that it was very enjoyable. I was never a big Yes fan. i prefer Asia when it came to these proggy rock bands. 61. Love Changes Everything - Honeymoon SuiteI like this one a lot , but it sounds like they were kinda trying to fit into the wild Glam Metal mod of things. It's very Bon Jovi. The look, the sound, and they were not really a big loud Guitar solo band, and yet here they are. They had their own sound on "New Girl Now" and "Feel It Again" and IMOP should have stuck with it.

Let that sink in. Their first two albums were great, particularly the Big Prize. I loved everything off TBP. All Along You Knew was another solid offering, IMO. A little different than their other offerings - particularly with the prominent flute throughout the song.
