Faith Hill Album Tracks Rankdown:
 As we prepare to close our first Reba McEntire album tracks rankdown, it is time for us to focus our attention on the next album tracks rankdown on our agenda! Faith Hill's album series is finished and ready to be tied together with a nice little bow before we say goodbye completely. As with most album rankdowns, several incredible album tracks did not get adequate justice because they had to compete with all of her popular hits on each album. So for the final piece of this album series, we are stripping away all of the hits and paying tribute to all of the highest-finishing album tracks from each album! For the most part, I have taken the 5 highest-finishing album tracks from every album. The lone exception is the It Matters To Me album, because it had 5 singles and 10 tracks, which means that literally every album track should be here....but literally NOBODY likes "Keep Walkin' On".... Lmao 😂😂 So I made the executive decision to give that one the axe, and add "Why" instead (it was the highest-finishing album track from the Extras rankdown  ) (Actually it was technically "Sleeping With The Telephone", but that one has been in like 4 rankdowns recently, so...) Also, for the Rest Of Our Life album, "Cowboy Lullaby" would technically have qualified, but I decided it doesn't really have much place in a Faith Hill-centered rankdown. So I included the next-highest album track, "Devil Callin' Me Back" (for Faith's EPIC vocals!!!!) If ClevelandRox ends up doing a Tim McGraw album tracks rd eventually, he can include "Cowboy Lullaby" in that. All are welcome and encouraged to participate Due: July 5, 2020

Hard to believe, but we are all the way down to just 3 weeks for this one. We still just have two lists, but that's okay because there's plenty of time. Now that Reba's album tracks are done, perhaps people will shift their attention to this one :) I have been working on my own list, but it is taking awhile!!! No new lists since the last reminder. Which is not too surprising, as I have kinda slacked at doing reminders for the last couple weeks. I am leaving tomorrow to help my sister move back to her university campus for a summer job, so I definitely will not be able to close this. Plus I definitely want more lists. Technically I have the first couple weeks of June to work with before the next Reba album is due, so I am going to extend this one by a week so that more people have time to do it. Y’all are killing me! Lol. I haven’t had internet or been on my computer since Friday morning when I posted the extension. So I’m sorry I haven’t been able to give any more reminder tags. But I can still check in on mobile, so here I am!
Is anyone else even interested in this? Would it help for me to extend further?? Keep the deadline and see who makes it? What do you need from me?
At this point an extension would likely be another entire month out, after the next wave of Reba/George albums and the May New Releases rd. Ideally I wanted to get this one out of the way first, but I would hate to shortchange anybody who might potentially participate. Plus the last minute scramble some of you just had to do for Joe Diffie will undoubtedly affect your ability to do this one by the current deadline...
Anyway, I’m just thinking out loud while also bumping this thread to make sure y’all don’t forget about it. But if anybody has thoughts about if an extension would be helpful, let me know!! :)

I sought out a coffee place with WiFi, so here is our official update Like I said last night, this week has been emotionally draining for all of us, and I get the sense that we all have waaaaay bigger things to worry about than rankdowns right now. Whether you are protesting, quarantining, trying not to hate all of your family members on Facebook, or worrying about rioting happening in your city, please just focus your attention onto your own mental health and what you need to do to keep yourself safe and/or grounded in this troublesome time. This rankdown will happen later. For now I am setting the deadline for a month away, on Sunday July 5th. Of course that might change because of the weekend of the 4th being a popular travel holiday, depending on how many of you are able to get lists in before then. You know, I think I might do that with all the rankdowns I have coming up. There are definitely bigger things to worry about at the moment (plus hosting a rankdown on mobile where only BBCode is available...yikes.)

Soooo I pushed this one back several weeks... But the new deadline is already creeping up on us!!!! Sunday July 5th is now just a week and a half away!! That deadline was designed with the goal of this rankdown being finished and out of the way before BotB and RotB are due. I want to keep those ones on schedule, so may be open to extending this one further if people are too overwhelmed. We'll play it by ear! Working on this now! Using the same strategy I did for Reba: picking my #1s, #2s, #3s, etc. from each album and then sorting through the #1s to find my favorite #1s, and so on and so forth for the rest.

Ugh, this one was crazy hard. Her catalog is so strong, and that includes all the non-singles. </3 Finally submitted tho! Also just submitted, and I echo this. I knew my #1 straight-away of course, but a lot of my Top 15 was hard to sort out, particularly my Top 5. #2 and #3 flopped around like fish out of water for the longest time before I finally made up my mind on them. I can't wait to see how this rankdown plays out and to see which deep cut we collectively think is Faith's best! |
