As much as I find her interesting letโs be real she hasnโt had a good feature since 2010 Ummm what kind of comment is this? I'll be the first to admit Nicki's guest verses aren't what they use to be but to completely wiping a decade off is ridiculous. Flawless, Make Love(!), The way life goes and Hot Girl Summer just to name a few, are all excellent.

That โCruel Summerโ tweet isnโt news. I heard it on the radio several times months after Lover dropped on an SF-based pop station. Airplay doesnโt guarantee a song will be a single. If it did, โSoon Youโll Get Betterโ would be the next single from Lover (the one world version has gotten a few adds and was one of popโs Top 10 Taking Off last week).
Dua Lipaโs โPhysicalโ both got a fair amount of airplay and wasnโt sent as the next single. Selena Gomezโs โBoyfriendโ hadnโt gotten an adds date, either.

I havenโt heard a Nicki feature in years, because whenever she comes on I just skip the song.

This whole year has been shit enough that I don't wanna feel worse by listening to a 6ix9ine song for even a second.

Nickiโs pretty hit or miss with me, but if you think her only good verse is Monster then youโve gone out of your way these past ten years to avoid listening to any Nicki feature. She has flowed her ass off like she did on Monster multiple times, and thinking otherwise means youโre likely blinded by pure hatred of her, Kanye worship, or a combination of both.

Talking abt Nicki features, the Nicki part in Tusa goes OFF. Sad it didn't make more of an impact in the US.

^Yeah true, Tusa was a really big hit WW. She might not have a #1 in America, but her "pop" features have performed quite well worldwide since 2015 (Side To Side, Swalla, Hey Mama, Tusa just to name a few). Though is true that what made Tusa succeed worldwide was not Nicki Minaj (The song would have been big with only Karol G probably).

In the US, yes. But globally, a quick glance at their wikipedia page will show Starships charting in more countries and going top 10 in countries Super Bass didn't

All this Nicki hate on here is THE perfect example of how people place WAAAAYY too much important on #1's. Nevermind that she's had either lead or featured credits on over 100 charting hits and over 15 top tens over the past decade, easily making her the most successful female rapper of all time, but no #1? Flop!!!

This thread really turned into "let's bash Nicki." and I am NOT here for it. THIS. While stanning for mediocre artists. Iโll hard pass.

Yeah although it's a great song, for obvious reasons I just don't think Cruel Summer would go well if they were to push it. If they were going to push another single from Lover, Soon You'll Get Better would obviously be the more appropriate choice.

I had no idea Savage and Say So would both have a shot at #1. I'm no Beyonce fan or care about Savage (original or remix) but I got to admit that she ate that song and if it makes it to the top it would be because of her unlike the Perfect remix. I'm still rooting for Say So though because I stan both Doja and Nicki despite the remix not being as effective as that of Savage. Ughhh I'm conflicted.

I'm gonna leave that alone though cause it's a never ending back and forth.

It's always something.

Because it's from 2015, I assume it's a "Good As Hell" situation where it has to get above #50 to chart Good As Hell debuted at #52 though If I recall correctly, though, "Good As Hell" debuted on the Taylor Swift album bomb week, so Billboard probably opened an exception there.

The Scotts are back to #1 on Spotify (Savage was #1 combined yesterday) and Drake tracks are probably combined now (clean and explicit) as they are marked as debuts.
