I played "Xanax and Champagne" for my friend who hates most country and even he loved it lol but yeah, I get it, it's too good for y'all No but seriously you can thank .indulgecountry for getting me obsessed with this one and turns out he isn't even thrilled with it. I listen to it ALL THE TIME! It's deliciously dark and the melody is fantastic. Ain't like she does crack cocaine its just Xanax and champagne is my fav part of the whole song, it just sound SO GOOD. Expected them to land somewhere in the teens not 20s so I'm disappointed, to say the least. I knew it would be right up your ally, so that's why I introduced it to you, but yeah, it's more of a 'like' not a 'love' for me, unfortunately.

This was overall a pretty weak month and you all keep tanking the jams. "How You Make A Man" was great musically. I've always liked Craig Morgan a lot tho.

I love Craig Morgan's voice, but this song is just corny. Good for him on scraping the chart for the first time in almost a decade, though I just wish it were with something better.

Craig Morgan has had better songs, but man does it feel great to hear his voice again!!! I may have been sick of him back in his heyday when you couldn't go five minutes without hearing "That's What I Love About Sunday" on the radio, but he sounds like an old friend when he finally puts out new music nowadays!

Craig Morgan sounds a lot like Randy Houser here. Thought it would do slightly better as a result. I think most songs in this month are quite tacky tbh

"How You Make A Man" wasn't too bad for Craig Morgan.

Oh, good. I was afraid this would make top 10 just cuz it's Shania but I did not find it good at ALL. I'd never purposely revisit this, and would turn it off if it ever came on the radio.

The taste is going to “find you” it just may take a bit! Ok but inquiring minds want to know did you deliberately try to, and ultimately get away with, sneaking a year old song into this or did you just not know cuz girl So genuinely, the album came out in July and I like him but don’t follow him close enough to know it was already out from an EP earlier in the year. So I found it to be my favorite from the album and was excited to share it here - literally thinking I made a discovery lol. So I played myself but I wish I could say I snuck it in deliberately.

Ugh, it sounds like Shania only has about five notes left, and in "Not Just A Girl" they are all so brushed up that she basically sounds like a computer. Absolutely none of the charisma and charm that made her so good in the past. It's sad. I haven't listened to her new song from September yet, but I'm hoping it is better than this one!

The "do-do-do"s in Not Just A Girl are not good. The excessive vocal correction (her live vocals are not as bad as that) doesn't help.

Here is the first loss that I am really feeling. "Tulsa" was such a nice discovery for me! This song is so deliciously country, and honestly the more I listen to it the more it feels like the sort of song that I could hear being a sneaky sleeper ballad hit on the radio kinda like "Wild West" by Runaway June. I assume maybe people may have just been kinda bored by this one, but Stefanie definitely won me over!

I'll go ahead and pause there for the night. Right on time! My dad is coming into town for a visit the next few days, so I've gotta get ready to greet him when he gets here in a few minutes! Hopefully I'll be able to continue the reveals the next couple days though. Now that I have momentum, it'll go easier

Stefanie Joyce has potential because I like her vocals and the music has just a perfect amount of little darkness within. That said the lyrics of Tulsa are a bit too simple. Still good enough for this month though.

"Tulsa" might be a decent song, but I hated what Stefanie Joyce did with it. I thought she was singing way too high and I don't like her tone. With a different vocalist, I may have been able to rank this a bit higher.

With a different vocalist, I may have been able to rank this a bit higher. I agree. Had a really hard time ranking that one. I really wanted to love it - musically it's right up my alley, but her voice was just all wrong for the song.

this is probably the first song from Dylan Scott that I didn't hate. Not that it is something I would seek out or anything but not awful at least lol

Dylan Scott is such a faceless and pointless artist imo that I would have happily just ignored his album if I hadn't gotten a couple requests from it... So I listened to them to pick my favorite of the two, and it was hard because they were both surprisingly really good!!!! In the end I went with "Ain't Much Left Of Me" because the steel guitar in the intro is epic and it has really stayed with me the more I have listened to it Definitely one of Dylan Scott's best efforts yet to me!

Rachel Wammack bows out next with "Like Me". I definitely wasn't expecting her to be one of our most polarizing artists!! "Like Me" however proved to be a song worth both loving and hating, as the ranks ran the gamut from taylor's #1 all the way down to a couple bottom 3 ranks from castleoblivion26 and superdave3556. I personally enjoyed this one a lot, but felt it belongs right in the middle of the list. I have a feeling that some of the Jason Aldean controversy lately may have contributed to some of these low ranks for Rachel Wammack. Didn't she like Brittney Aldean's transphobic post or something?

Bailey Zimmerman's voice isn't necessarily one that I will ever be a huge fan of, but this is yet another solid song from him anyway! So far he seems to have a pretty good ear for strong material, love or hate his voice! "Where It Ends" also got a fair amount of both love and hate, with ranks ranging from top 2 to bottom 2. But most of the ranks fell somewhere in the middle, hence it being a relatively constant fixture of the 16-20 range.

Other than Allison and Brandi no real big losses and that wasn’t a surprise anyway.
Bailey continues to not work for me, glad you are all enjoying him though as it looks like he’s going to take off!

"Told You I Could Drink" is BRELAND's most popular song yet in this series, as it even managed to be a top half contender for the majority of the rankdown! Unfortunately missing out on the top half at the end due to yours truly, this still managed to finish right in the middle of this rankdown.
I feel like this one may not have wowed me upon the first couple listens, but is gradually starting to grow on me over time! It's got a pretty strong melody!
