"Like She Is" is a RANDOM ass song to have in last place considering "Slide Slide Slippety Slide", Walker Hayes, "Bittersweet Symphony", etc. were the competition That being said this song feels almost like a rough draft to me. I can definitely see where somebody might connect with it, and for that I'm not surprised to see it get some love! But I think it would have benefitted from a more polished performance in my own taste.

I like Stephanie Quayle but "Like She Is" was lowkey terrible lol. Doesn't help that its super generic. But her boyfriend DIED in a plane crash and then she discovered he had been CHEATING on her AT his FUNERAL. And yet she continued to take care of his daughter anyway. It makes for a better story than music though. She should contact Lifetime.

"Start Nowhere" was a bit of a surprise to me, because it definitely allows Sam Hunt to sell it on the strength of his vocals more than his average output does! And imo he does a pretty effective job with it! Although look at castleoblivion26 manifesting ERNEST and Sam being the only men to leave before the top 10 Also, Sam only missed out because of losing a tie-breaker...

Anyway, she wasted that soap opera on a basic af melody and instrumentation. She should have saved it for a dark jam!

"Call Me" was... fine, but it takes more than a 'fine' song for me to put up with Randy Houser's vocals.

I think "Call Me" has a really effective hook, like, I don't care *what* you call me, as long as you call me at all! Randy's vocal also sells it pretty well. I can see why this one might get some lower ranks, as it's not the most engaging song in the world, but to me it at least has a solid identity.

Finally omg. I was expecting him to be top 10 honestly, but was hoping he wouldn't be cuz of the song. There's just nothing about "Stoned" that I enjoy. The song just plods and clunks along, and some of his vocals here are Priscilla Block "My Bar" level bad. I adore "Handle On You" but hard pass on this one.

Kinda surprised "Motel on the Moon" missed top 10. I figured the way some of y'all cream over Tepid Arts that it would do much better since it was probably one of the best things I've heard from her, lol.

I like Parker McCollum's voice more often than not, and he seems to have an ear for a good tune. But every once in awhile he misses for me, and this is one of those times. I thought "Stoned" seemed to drag on unfortunately, and his vocal wasn't able to save it. Definitely not terrible by any means, I've just heard better by him, and I would have much rather seen Tenille in the top 10.

Lol @ this. I am in LOVE with "Handle on You" so I'm quite curious to see what else Parker gives us from his second major label record in a few months, but "Stoned" did not live up to the hype for me.

"Over Her Over Here" did nothing for me. I have a feeling I'm not going to be a fan of this artist, lol. She's batting zero for me so far.

I was shocked by how much I loved "Over Her Over Here", but one listen through that chorus and I already had the song queued up on repeat. The way the chorus melody suddenly changes with "the only thing you should be holding tonight is a drink at a bar and a Marlboro light" has been stuck in my head since the moment I heard it, and is also a pretty damn awesome lyric on top of how catchy it is. I'm still not sold on Lauren as a vocalist, but she absolutely nails this song!

I loved Stoned. Parker's 2/2 with me which is big considering I didn't care for him at all.

"Falling For A Stranger" is pretty good! It's not the most memorable song in this playlist, but I do enjoy it when I am actively listening.

I was not expecting to have Scotty McDreary in my top 10, but here we are! "Falling For A Stranger" is actually... quite good, and the more I listen to it, the more I like it.

"a hundred years old" wasn't actively bad or anything but man, I can only handle so much boring, and there's a lot of it in this RD. She has a pretty voice tho!
