"Glad You Exist" (a phrase which nobody will be saying to Dan + Shay) bows out first, as it should! D+S just continue to go even deeper into the blandest possible territory that a musician could ever possibly trailblaze... Their output is limp, pathetic, and vanilla. Good riddance!

The exit of "Sofly and Tenderly" throws a bit of a monkey wrench in everybody's plans, as not a single person predicted this would be a bottom 5 contender! Who would have thought that the first female to leave us would be a well-loved superstar like Carrie Underwood?! However, Pulse has never had much of a thing for traditional religious hymns, so while this has a beautiful vocal from Carrie, it is very hard to compare it to all the actual original country songs that came out this month. razorshark gets their first ever perfect ranking in a country rankdown! |

It's probably nobody's surprise that Kip Moore would fall next, based on his past performances in these rankdowns. That being said, he outlasted our first multi-#1 loss, so you can probably see this as a victory castleoblivion26! 😂 I can personally say that I have liked all of these songs from his new album much better than I remember liking some of the songs on his first two albums when we did that combined rankdown way back when. His voice isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I feel like he has a really nice blend of rock/country going on that is very unique. He's still not an artist I stan for or anything, but I am thankful that this series has given me a new appreciation for him! I guess that's why we do these, even with artists that might traditionally be "hated" :) |

As a huge fan of Kip's Wild World album, I have to say that I was actually quite disappointed in the four tracks released in the deluxe edition. This was one of the best albums released of the year and the deluxe tracks added nothing of importance to it in my eyes. I was being a bit generous in my own ranking for "Midnight Slow Dance", so given that I'm not surprised to see it out in the bottom five as I think most of us expected it to be.
