I like Kip Moore in general, but this is kinda okay. I just want him to release another single, as it's been a while since She's Mine.

I can't be the only one who's finding themselves rather bored with Brad Paisley's output at this point. Yawn.

I just can't shake the feeling that all of Brad's recent output just sounds so tired lately. Back in the day he was one of the biggest innovators in the genre, but now he just feels like he's out of ideas to me. "Off Road" isn't bad as much as it is just about the most bland and forgettable thing he has ever released. Edit: I guess you're not alone tim! 😂

Brad Paisley is one of a few singers that I cannot really get into. I only like several of his songs, but this is actually one of his better ones.

I'm a sucker for Brad's guitar work. It often covers up some subpar songwriting that he's had lately imo.

I was actually going to predict that "Miles" would be at or near the bottom five. It just didn't strike me as the kind of song that would end up getting a lot of support at the top.

Record High remains the best thing I’ve heard from her.

You know, I listened to this again the other day and couldn't quite figure out why I had ranked it so high. I just loved "Record High" so much that I think when I heard another song from her it went straight to my top ten lol.

I am very quickly turning into the biggest Sykamore fan on Pulse, aside from 🌺CountryLineDancer! Lol there is just something soooooo soothing about her vocal delivery that I can't get enough of. Like, just listen to the way she delivers "I live for your touch, I die for your kiss" in the second verse. Nobody could make that line shine the same way that she does. However, everything I have heard from her continues to be a huge grower... I have never listened to a Sykamore song and immediately been like "this is the most amazing thing I've ever heard!" I imagine y'all are experiencing something similar, which is why she always seems to struggle in these things. I'm thinking she's got her debut album coming soon or something, 'cause she put out yet another new song in March, so this is starting to feel a lot like Lainey Wilson's strategy of releasing new songs for several months in a row before finally announcing an album after the fact!

Brad sounds so old on "Off Road". It's catchy though so I still enjoy it.
"Miles" deserved better. It's a breezy spring bop.

"Keep On Moving" bows out next, much to Darkest Hour's chagrin! This was included at his request, and accordingly he ranked it at #2. This song had a HOT start...and then tumbled for pretty much the rest of the submission period, lmao! After looking like a strong top 10 contender, it nearly ended up being at risk of missing the top 20. He beat Sykamore by only one point, but then only missed #17 by one point as well, so that should show you how competitive things were in this region of the rankdown!

Dang, I was really hoping that "Keep On Moving" would do a little bit better than this. I of course am *cough* old enough to remember when Jon first debuted on the scene in the mid/late '90s and I'm just amazed at the songwriting career he has ended up having. I actually hadn't heard a song from him in a long, long time (I still always think of his Lorrie Morgan duet "By My Side") and I think I just might need to pull up some of his older material to revisit again.

Well, it wasn't a bottom 5 contender, thank goodness!! Kanenrá:ke was the one who recommended this specific song, although Morgan herself was suggested by a handful of people this month. There was something in the rasp of her voice that I found to be pretty engaging, so I liked this song quite a bit. There were sooooo many songs that I loved this month though, this one couldn't get any higher than #16 on my list, so I feel like it's leaving in a good place.

Temecula Road was on my radar because Sara Evans kinda took them under her wing the last few years. I know they toured with her a couple years ago. And then a couple months ago when Sara did her 3-nights of live-stream concerts she hired the brunette girl in the group (Emma) to be her background singer, and the rest of the group got to come out and sing a couple songs in the middle of one of Sara's sets. So when they put out a new song this month, it was only natural that a Sara fan like bigfan101 would be the one to demand their inclusion! But anyway, "Everything I Love" is a very catchy song! Although tbh I kinda started to find it annoying if I listened to it too much this past month when I wasn't in the right mood, so I feel like it's leaving in a good place. I'm excited to see what else they have to offer in their careers though!

"Wilder Days" was OK I guess, but nothing I'd revisit. And other than that, I still hate all the songs revealed thus far :kii:
